In a door lock, a locking mechanism includes an outer wheel, an inner wheel disposed inside the outer wheel and operable to rotate relative to the outer wheel, a clutch member disposed in the inner wheel and normally biased to radially extend from the inner wheel into the outer wheel to interengage the inner and outer wheels, and an arm plate sleeved around the inner wheel. When the inner wheel rotates in a first direction, the arm plate is driven by the inner wheel to actuate the deadbolt. When the inner and outer wheels are interengaged, the inner wheel drives the outer wheel by rotating in a second direction. When the inner wheel disengages from the outer wheel, rotation of the inner wheel in the first or second direction is idle relative to the outer wheel.

Door lock having locking mechanism

A transmission mechanism of a lock assembly includes a base; a core assembly partially received in the base and having therein a core adapted to connect to the rod so as to control movement of the rod; an operating element rotatably connected to the base; a clutch device movably received in the base and selectively engaged with the operating element; a driving device received in the core assembly to drive the clutch device to move toward/away from the operating element; and an activation device connected to the base to control operation of the driving device such that the latch is moved with assistance of the rotation of the operating element when the clutch device is connected to the operating element and the latch is immovable when the clutch device is away from engagement with the operating element.

Transmission mechanism of a lock assembly

In a cylinder lock assembly, a latch operating tube has an enlarged end portion extending into an outer drive tube disposed in an outer handle. A locking spindle is disposed in the latch operating tube and has a locking tongue extending radially and outwardly through the outer drive tube to interlock with an outer rose when the locking spindle is pressed by a push button to move to a locked state. A locking plate is sleeved around the locking spindle and has a radial locking part to engage a protrusion that projects radially and inwardly from an inner surface of the enlarged end portion so that the locking spindle is locked against movements to an unlocked state when the locking spindle is in its locked state.

Push-button type cylinder lock assembly

An exchangeable cylinder lock includes a plug shell connected to a pin chest. A locking pin is disposed in a radial pin hole in the pin chest and is biased to protrude from an aperture in a cover plate and to engage a lock housing. The locking pin is depressable to retract for disengaging from the lock housing. A locking ring is disposed around the plug proximate to the locking pin, and has at least one indentation. When the plug is rotated using a right key, the locking ring can be rotated to align the indentation with the locking pin so as to permit depression of the locking pin, or to move the indentation away from the locking pin so as to prevent depression of the locking pin.

Exchangeable cylinder lock assembly

A door lock includes a first driven wheel connected drivenly to a motor and having two resilient driving elements, and a second driven wheel connected drivenly to a rotary handle and the first driven wheel. The second driven wheel has a driven element disposed between and driven by the driving elements so that the second driven wheel moves to a first or second position to place a latch bolt in a latching or unlatching position. When the latch bolt is jammed, the second driven wheel is inoperative. However, as the driving elements are resilient, the first driven wheel can continue its rotation without being obstructed.

Electric door lock

An electric door lock includes a transmission wheel driven by a motor and incorporating a spring with a driving end to drive a driven wheel. The transmission wheel and the driven wheel are rotatably sleeved around an inner drive tube connected to an inner handle. A spindle is inserted into the inner drive tube and has an operating end exposed from the inner handle. The driven wheel is connected integrally to the spindle for rotation. Preferably, a coupling piece extends through an arc-shaped slot in the inner drive tube and interconnects the driven wheel and the spindle.

A lock assembly includes a handle assembly including a tubular member having an axial hole defined in a first end thereof and extending along a longitudinal axis thereof and a receptacle defined in a second end thereof and in communication with the axial hole, and a handle formed on the second end of the tubular member. A lock core assembly is removably mounted to the receptacle of the handle assembly and includes a lock core therein. The lock core includes a key hole defined in a first end thereof. A transmission device is received in the axial hole of the tubular member and includes a first end and a second end. The second end of the transmission device includes an end face plate extending in a direction transverse to a longitudinal axis of the key driving means, and two spaced positioning rods project outwardly from the end face plate and extend away from the first end along a direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the transmission device. The lock core includes two positioning holes defined in a second end thereof and extending along a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis thereof. The positioning rods are removably extended through the holes in the second end of the lock core. The holes are respectively aligned with the positioning rods when mounting the lock core assembly into the receptacle.

Transmission devices for locks with changeable lock core assemblies

A lock set for a door has a cylindrical spindle integrally coupled with a knob and containing a slide plate which can be actuated to lock and unlock the cylindrical spindle against rotation. The cylindrical wall of the spindle is provided with two diametrically opposing grooves which extend axially from one end thereof to a predetermined depth and which are opened at the one end so as to facilitate installation of the slide plate in the spindle. The slide plate has two opposing lugs for insertion into the grooves.

Lock set with improved spindle construction

A lock assembly includes a linkage mechanism which is operable from the outside of a door via a lever and which is drivingly connected to a latch. An inside operating mechanism which is operable from the inside of the door is connected to the linkage mechanism so that the inside operating mechanism need not be connected to the latch. The lock assembly is suitable for use with a latch having only one cam wheel or two cam wheels.

Lock assembly for retracting a door latch

An inner handle assembly of a door lock includes a handle with an axle. A mounting cap has an axial hole for passage of the axle and a through-hole offset from the axial hole. A spindle driving plate has a central hole engaging fittingly a spindle of the door lock. A manually operable lock unit has a button member extending outwardly through the through-hole and mounted for movement in an axial direction between locking and unlocking positions, and an engagement member in connection with the button member. The engagement member engages the spindle driving plate for locking against rotation of the spindle driving plate when the lock unit is at the locking position. A rotary member is mounted on the axle within the mounting cap for rotating simultaneously the axle. The rotary member moves axially and outwardly the engagement member to disengage from the spindle driving plate when the axle is turned to rotate the rotary member. The axle retards rotation of the spindle driving plate so that the spindle driving plate starts to rotate after the lock unit is moved to the unlocking position.

Inner handle assembly of cylinder lock

A door lock includes a deadbolt assembly and a lock housing assembly. The deadbolt assembly has a bolt member which includes a metal inner sleeve, a metal outer sleeve fitted over the inner sleeve and made of a material which is different from that of the metal inner sleeve and which has anti-corrosion properties, and a security bar disposed axially in the inner sleeve. The lock housing assembly includes an exterior housing section with a cylindrical chamber that receives rotatably an exterior lock cylinder unit therein. The lock cylinder unit has a key-operated rotary plug with a rearwardly projecting spindle that is connected operably to the deadbolt assembly. An interior sleeve member is formed as a cylindrical wall with a front end which is secured to the rear side of the lock cylinder unit and a rear end which is formed with diametrically opposite notches. The deadbolt assembly extends through the sleeve member via the notches. A pair of bolts pass through bolt holes of an interior housing section, the mounting holes of the side plates, the front end of the sleeve member, and engage threadedly the threaded holes of the lock cylinder unit.

Door lock having a deadbolt assembly with a low-cost corrosion-resistant

Two first engagement members are formed on a first side of a transmission plate of a dual backset deadbolt assembly, while two second engagement members are formed on an opposite second side of the transmission plate posterior to the first engagement members. A first cam drive unit is retained rotatably in a first backset position relative to the transmission plate and is disposed adjacent to the first side. A second cam drive unit is movable between first and second backset positions relative to the transmission plate and is disposed adjacent to the second side. A deadbolt operating spindle of a lock extends through the first and second cam drive units so as to permit engagement of the first cam drive unit with one of the first engagement members in order to actuate the transmission plate when the second cam drive unit is in the first backset position and the deadbolt assembly is adjusted to a shorter backset length. The deadbolt operating spindle extends through the second cam drive unit so as to permit engagement of the second cam drive unit with one of the second engagement members in order to actuate the transmission plate when the second cam drive unit is in the second backset position and the deadbolt assembly is adjusted to a longer backset length.

A lock set for use with a deadbolt which includes an improved spindle mechanism is disclosed. The improved spindle mechanism permits the lock set to unlatch the deadbolt by rotating an inner knob without the need to operate a spindle-turning button.

A code lock includes an intermediate bead seat, upper and lower bead seats, all of which are provided with tumbler bead holes receiving tumbler beads. The upper and lower bead seats are slidable relative to the intermediate bead seat between a normal position in which the bead holes of the upper and lower bead seats are aligned with first bead holes of the intermediate bead seat and a resetting position in which the bead holes thereof are aligned with second bead holes of the intermediate bead seat. The combination of the tumbler beads can be changed by using a code key which selectively transfers some tumbler beads from the first to the second bead holes.
