An operating wand has a handle, an upper rod connected by an intermediate rod having one end pivotably attached to the upper end of the handle and the opposite end pivotably attached to the lower end of the upper rod. A sleeve slides along the upper rod between a first position and a second position. When in the first position the sleeve covers a portion of the upper rod, the handle, and the intermediate rod, keeping the handle, intermediate rod and upper rod in a co-linear alignment. When the sleeve is in the second position, the handle and intermediate rod are fully exposed allowing the intermediate rod to be moved relative to the handle and the upper rod so that the intermediate rod is normal to the handle and normal to the upper rod. With the sleeve in the second position the wand can be operated like a crank.

A Window covering cutter has its base board installed with a first clamping device for clamping a Window covering, and a knife device that is positioned next to the first clamping device, having a cutting opening, a driving plate movably fixed at a side of the cutting opening, and a knife fixed on the driving plate to reciprocate transversely to cut the Window covering. A measuring device is set at one side of the knife device for stably positioning the Window covering and measuring a length between its blocking plate and the cutting opening, providing a swift and precise measurement for cutting. So, the invention can be easily operated to esthetically cut a Window covering.

Apparatus for cutting a window covering

A cord lock apparatus of a window shade is provided, which includes a base, a panel structure, and a cord gripping device. The base includes an adjustable portion allowing cords to pass through and a first-direction ascending opening is formed allowing the cords to be alternatively positioned. The panel structure having an insert plate and a second-direction ascending opening is provided allowing cords to pass through, when the cords are selectively positioned along the inclined surface, the panel structure is moved in a vertically upward or downward motion. The cord gripping device has an engaging block and a knurled roller, the engaging block is removably attached within the accommodation recess. The knurled roller is positioned near the top of the engaging block and a gap is formed therebetween, such that the knurled roller is frictionally locked with or released from the cords when the panel structure moves vertically downward or upward.

Cord lock apparatus of window shade assembly

A blind includes a headrail, a bottomrail, a plurality of slats positioned between the headrail and the bottomrail, a plurality of ladders, a plurality of lift cords and a plurality of connectors. Each ladder is composed of two vertical portions and a plurality of rungs in parallel between the two vertical portions. The lift cords are positioned at two opposite sides of the slats and near the vertical portions of the ladders. Each slat has at least a hole near a longitudinal side edge, and a connector is deposited between the ladder and each slat. Then the connectors can combine the ladders and the lift cords with the slats in such a way that the slats can be kept from moving so as to shut off light effectively.

Blind and its assembling method

An electric blind includes a frame, a plurality of horizontal slat units, and a stepping motor. The frame has two side vertical rods pivotally connected with the slat units, and a linking rod is fixed with a lengthwise side of all the slat units, possible to force the slat units synchronously swing for an angle. The stepping motor unit is composed of a stepping motor and a controller. The stepping motor is positioned in a cavity of one of the two side vertical rods, connected with a slat of the salt units. Further the controller controls the rotating angle of the motor, and the stepping motor can rotate idle in case the motor should meet an exterior force (for example, in case of the slat units already swung to the largest angle), or the slat units are manually moved any time. Thus the electric blind may not easily be broken or damaged.

Electric blind

A control device for Venetian blinds and a control method includes a position unit, a rope-control unit and a movement limit unit. The position unit is fixed in an upper rail. The rope-control unit consists of a wind wheel, a rope, an engage wheel and a clutch. The wind wheel is pivotally connected to the position unit, and the rope has one end fixed with the wind wheel and the other end hanging down for a user to handle. The rope rotates the wind wheel, and the engage wheel fits with the wind wheel and fixed with the hanging unit. The clutch is connected with and can be rotated by the wind wheel in a first direction, or the wind wheel and the engage wheel does not rotate together in case of rotation in a second direction. The movement limit unit has a lever member swung by the rope to engage with or disengage from the ratchet for the hiding unit to rise up or move down and be positioned stably.

Control device for Venetian blinds and its control method

A rolling mechanism includes a base frame fastened to a top side of a window and having a coupling flange, a roller rotatably mounted below the base frame for stationary rotation and having a locating groove on its periphery, and at least one constraint member having a coupling portion pivotally coupled to the coupling flange of the base frame and a constraint portion extending from the coupling portion for engaging the locating groove of the roller and further limiting the rotary direction of the roller to one direction only.

Rolling mechanism for window blind

A safe disengaging device for the pull cord of a blind includes a male support base and a female support base. The male support base is fixed on the upper frame of a blind and provided with a protruding clasping block having its upper side formed with an engage shoulder. The female support base has its lower end tied with a pull cord and its upper end extending upward to form an elastic member corresponding to the clasping block of the male support base and having its upper free end formed with an engage hook to be engaged on the engage shoulder. When the pull cord is drawn by an excessively great force, the elastic member will be disengaged from the engage block, and the female support base together with the pull cord will fall off, avoiding accidents caused by improper operation of the pull cord and elevating safety in use.

Safe disengaging device for the pull cord of a blind

A vertical curtain cutter includes at least a base and a mold cutting device fixed on the base, which consists of a clamper, a knife and a motor. The clamper has a stationary clamp block and a movable clamp block, and the stationary clamp block has a flat clamp surface at one side and a curved clamp surface at other side. As a result, the movable clamp block and the stationary clamp block can clamp between them the rolled curtain cloth or folded-up curtain cloth. The cloth is vertically inserted by reversing the flat surface and the curved surface of the stationary clamp block. The motor can drive the knife to shift towards the curtain cloth and cut it, so that the cutter is able to cut either rolled or folded-up curtain cloth into multiple curtain pieces.

Vertical curtain cutter

A window covering has a headrail, a plurality of lift cords extending from the headrail and a plurality of shade elements positioned sequentially below the headrail. Each shade element has two longitudinal edges which are substantially parallel to one another. A flap made of mesh fabric, a non-woven fabric or a film through which light may pass is attached to one or both longitudinal edges of the shade elements. The shade elements are positioned so that when the shade elements are in a closed position the lower edge of one shade element abuts the upper edge of an adjacent shade element and when the shade elements are in an open position, the lower edge of the at least one shade element is spaced apart from the upper edge of an adjacent shade element. The flap may or may not fully cover the gap between adjacent shade elements. A first cord is attached to one longitudinal edge of each shade element and a second cord is attached to the other longitudinal edge of each shade element. These cords extend to or into the headrail and allow the longitudinal edges of adjacent shade elements to be moved away from one another to create a gap between adjacent shade elements through which light may pass.

Window covering

In a method of making a window covering material a plurality of slats preferably made of fabric or plastic film, are provided. Each slat has opposite longitudinal edges and each longitudinal edge has a pocket with at least one transverse slot. There is one rail for each transverse slot in any selected slat. Each rail has a loop extending from the rail which loop is sized to fit within a selected transverse slot in a slat pocket. The fabric slats and the rails are positioned so that there is one loop in each transverse slot. Then a rod is inserted into each pocket of the fabric slat so that for each pocket the rod passes through the loop in each transverse slot of that pocket. If desired, one may attach a light screening flap to one or both longitudinal edges of the slats.

Method of making a window covering

A window blind is constructed to include a headrail, a blind body suspended below the headrail, a linking mechanism mounted inside the headrail and having a power input device fastened pivotally with the headrail and an actuator rotatable with the power input device and connectable to the blind body, and a driving control mechanism. The driving control mechanism includes a suspension rod suspended from the headrail and a controller detachably coupled to the suspension rod for enabling the suspension rod to be driven by the controller to rotate the power input device and to further drive the actuator to move the blind body, causing the blind body to change the window shading status.

Window blind having multiple driving modes

A collapsing and securing device of a lateral blind includes a lateral blind such as a winding blind, a Roman blind, or a cloth blind, and a number of positioning members fixed at least on one surface of the window curtain, and the positioning members can temporarily adhere, stick or attract each other to secure the lateral blind at one of many collapsed position in case the lateral blind is manually wound up, without using pull ropes with a pool as used in a conventional lateral blind for preventing potential dangers involved in conventional lateral blinds. The collapsed lateral blind can be expanded down manually with easiness and quickness, with the temporarily adhered, stuck or attracted together positioning members separated from one another with easiness.

A combination window covering is constructed to include a headrail, a bottom rail, front and rear ladder tapes respectively vertically connected between the headrail and the bottom rail at front and rear sides, fabric slats arranged in parallel between the headrail and the bottom rail, each slat having two opposite long sides respectively embedded with a rib, which is fastened to the front and rear ladder tapes, fabric light screening flaps respectively suspended from the slats and forming a light screening face at the front side of the slats, and a control unit for operation by the user to lift or lower the bottom rail so as to further receive or extend out the slats, and to move the front ladder tapes and rear ladder tapes of the ladder tapes vertically in reversed directions so as to further tilt the slats.

Combination window covering

A rotator, which is driven by an endless cord member to rotate, is used in a window blind for driving a roller of the window blind. The rotator includes a base having a shaft, a first clamping plate and a second clamping plate rotatably serially mounted on the shaft of the base for clamping the cord member therebetween, and an elastic biasing device provided between the base and one of the first and second clamping plates for urging the first and second clamping plates against each other.
