A card connector assembly () includes an insulating housing (), a number of contacts (), a daughter board (), a rear socket () and a spacer (). The insulating housing () defines a card receiving space. Each contact () comprises a contacting portion and a soldering portion. The daughter board () comprises a plurality of conductive portions. The rear socket () is adapted to be mounted to a mother board and to electrically connect with the daughter board () to establish an electrical connection between the contacts () and the mother board. The spacer () is formed with a holding portion () on lateral side faces thereof with one end assembled to the insulating housing () and the other end mating with the daughter board () to securely hold the soldering portions of the contacts.

Card connector assembly

A card connector comprises an insulating housing; a plurality of contacts retained in the insulating housing; a shielding being approximate encircled fame to defining a card receiving space with a card inserting opening at one end thereof along a card inserting direction and another opening cooperated with the housing at the other end thereof, the shielding having a pair of opposite side edges, one of the side edges being in substantially linear configuration and the other of the side edges being in a step configuration so that width of the card inserting opening is wider than that of the insulating housing.

A stacked electronic card connector assembly includes a Smart Card connector including a contact module including a housing retaining first contacts and a Card Bus connector including a header retaining second contacts. An insulative frame defines an opening receiving and retaining the contact module of the Smart Card connector. The header is stacked over the housing of the Smart Card connector. The Smart Card connector has a first ejection mechanism for removing a Smart Card out of the Smart Card connector. The Card Bus connector has a second ejection mechanism for removing an electronic card out of the Card Bus connector. Shielding shells are attached and enclose the connectors. A circuit board is soldered to contacts of the connectors and grounding pins extending from the top plate. The circuit board is engageable with an electrical connector mounted to a main circuit board.

An electrical connector ( ) for insertion of an electronic card comprises an insulating housing ( ), a plurality of contacts ( ) secured to the housing, a shield ( ) enclosing a top surface ( ) of the housing and a pair of grounding plates ( ) assembled to the housing. The housing defines a receiving slot ( ) and a locking slot ( ) at the top surface. The grounding plates comprise base portions ( ), mating portions ( ) extending from bottom edges of the base portions for being soldered to a motherboard, and locking portions ( ) extending from top edges of the base portions. The locking portion include hooks ( ) at free ends thereof retained within the locking slots and necks ( ) between the hooks and the base portions for pressing the top surface of the housing, thereby preventing disengagement between the housing and the grounding plate.

Electrical connector for insertion of electronic card

An electrical card connector includes an upper insulative housing ( ), a number of upper electrical terminals ( ), an upper dielectric transitional element ( ), a lower insulative housing ( ) stacked below the upper insulative housing, a number of lower electrical terminals ( ) and a lower dielectric transitional element ( ). The upper electrical terminals are partially retained by the upper insulative housing and are partially received in the upper and lower dielectric transitional elements. Grounded and stiffened electrical card connector

An electrical card connector (,) in accordance with the present invention comprises an insulative housing (,), a plurality of terminals (,) received in the insulative housing, a shield (,) covering the insulative housing, a metal ear (,) connecting with the shield and an ejector,fixed on both sides of the shield. The metal ear assembled to the housing comprises a body (,), an engaging section (,) and a buckle section (,) extending respectively from the two sides of the body. The engaging section is adapted to soldering onto the printed circuit board (PCB) (,) and then ground the interferential signals on the metal ear onto the PCB. While the buckle section is locking on the top face (,) of the housing so that the metal ear can be assembled to the housing firmly when the electrical card connector subjects to the external force in the opposite direction of the PCB vertically upwards.
