A method for performing power management in an electronic system and associated apparatus are provided, where the method is applied to at least one electronic device of a plurality of electronic devices of the electronic system. Based on the method, the electronic system utilizes a control electronic device within the plurality of electronic devices to send a first turning on signal to a first electronic device within the plurality of electronic devices to trigger the first electronic device to turn on, wherein the first electronic device is coupled to the control electronic device. The electronic system utilizes the first electronic device to send a second turning on signal to a second electronic device within the plurality of electronic devices to trigger the second electronic device to turn on, wherein the second electronic device is coupled to the control electronic device through the first electronic device.

Method and associated apparatus for performing power management in an electronic system

An electronic device includes a transmission interface and a control circuit. The transmission interface includes a signal reference contact and a signal transmission contact. The control circuit is electrically coupled between the signal reference contact and a ground layer, in which the control circuit is configured to selectively conduct the signal reference contact and the ground layer, and when the signal reference contact and the ground layer are conducted, the signal transmission contact is configured to transmit a first signal, and when the signal reference contact the ground layer are not conducted, the signal reference contact is configured to transmit a second signal. A transmission frequency of the second signal is less than a transmission frequency of the first signal.

Electronic device and operation method thereof

An electronic device includes a transmission interface, a switch unit and a control unit. The transmission interface includes a signal reference contact and a signal transmission contact. The switch unit is coupled between the signal reference contact and a grounded layer. The control unit is coupled to the switch unit. When the control unit controls the switch unit to connect the signal reference contact and the grounded layer, the signal transmission contact is used to transmit a first signal. When the control unit controls the switch unit to disconnect the signal reference contact from the grounded layer, the signal reference contact is used to transmit a second signal.

A backlight module includes a back plate, an optical film, a light source and optical microstructures. The back plate has a supporting surface. The optical film is disposed on the back plate. The supporting surface and the optical film have a gap therebetween. The light source disposed on the supporting surface is adapted to emit light toward the optical microstructures. Each optical microstructure includes first and second transparent structures. The first transparent structure connected to the supporting surface has front and rear ends. The front end facing toward the light source has a first concave surface. The rear end facing away from the light source has a convex surface. The second transparent structure connected to the first transparent structure has front and rear surfaces tilted in relative to the supporting surface. The front surface faces toward the light source, and the rear surface faces away from the light source.

A booting method is provided. In the booting method, a basic input/output system (BIOS) is activated to check a first set value. When the first set value corresponds to a fast boot mode, the BIOS performs a fast boot process, in which the fast boot process is interrupted when the BIOS receives a system control interrupt. The BIOS changes a second set value and the first set value according to the system control interrupt, so that the first set value corresponds to a normal boot process. Next, the BIOS is reactivated. Further, the BIOS performs a normal boot process when the first set value corresponds to the normal boot mode, in which the BIOS checks the second set value, so as to execute an operating process corresponding to the second set value and recover the second set value and the first set value.

A method for waking up a plurality of hibernated mass storage devices is disclosed. The method includes receiving a first command from a control circuit for accessing data stored in a plurality of hibernated mass storage devices; dividing the plurality of hibernated mass storage devices into a plurality of mass storage groups; waking up a first mass storage group of the plurality of mass storage groups; and notifying the control circuit to stop sending commands to the remaining hibernated mass storage devices in a period of time.

A computer screen image displaying method is executed after power-on of a computer and includes: receiving data associated with a detected default display mode of a BIOS of the computer and a display mode stored in a display device coupled to the computer; and determining if the default display mode of the BIOS and the display mode of the display panel match, and if so, causing a video controller of the computer to output image signals according to the display mode of the display panel, and if not, causing the video controller to output image signals corresponding to the default display mode of the BIOS. Thus, screen orientation can be controlled during BIOS POST to spare the user the trouble of changing screen orientation under an operating system environment, thereby enhancing efficiency and saving system resources.

A method for adjusting a working frequency of an electronic device includes the following. First, determining a current working frequency of the electronic device, a minimum average frequency among the average frequencies of different channels, and a frequency range of one channel used for transmitting/receiving wireless signals. Second, calculating an interference frequency generated by the electronic device, and selecting another antenna to transmit/receive wireless signals when the interference frequency falls within the frequency range of the determined channel. Third, calculating a first time interval between transmitting and receiving wireless signals before switching to the other antenna, and a second time interval between transmitting and receiving wireless signals after switching to the other antenna. Fourth, determining a difference between the first and second time intervals. Fifth, adjusting the current working frequency to decrease the influence on the transmission/receipt of wireless signals when the calculated difference is greater than a predetermined threshold.

A device power is supplied for running a storage device. When a device error occurs, a recovery operation is performed on the storage device. When the recovery operation fails, the device power is reset in a compatibility verification operation and the recovery operation is performed again on the storage device.
