A dielectric structure applied to building components for increasing a transmittance of an RF signal is provided. The dielectric structure includes a structural body and a fixing component. The structural body includes at least one dielectric material layer, and a dielectric constant of each dielectric material layer is between 1 and 10,000. The fixing component joins the structural body and a joining component. A composite structure after the dielectric structure and building components are joined may have the RF signal of the working frequency fpass and reduce the reflection loss. The minimum equivalent diameter of a projection plane on a surface of the joining component of the dielectric structure on a surface through which an RF signal passes is no less than one-eighth of a working wavelength &#x3bb;corresponding to the working frequency f.

Design solutions to mitigate the following four fatal flaws in the conventional pump system design; namely, (1) surprise pump-failure in single pump designs that can result in costly water damage; (2) the threat of fatal high voltage electrocution due to flooding; (3) grid power outage and no energy supply to support the needed pumping power that results in water damage; (4) foil odor from the standing water in the well after a period of low seeping rate with or without activated pumping. The principles described herein can completely mitigate the above four fatal design issues.

Multi-pump system with system check

A dielectric material antenna is disclosed. The antenna includes a first material layer made up of a first material with a low dielectric constant. A surface pattern containing pits is carved out of the first material layer. The pits carved out are then filled up with a second material layer made up of a second material that has a high dielectric constant than the first material layer to form a first antenna layer. A wave launcher is provided near to the first antenna layer with a ground provided at its bottom. The wave launcher helps to couple the energy generated from an energy source to the first antenna layer in order to radiate and receive signals.

Disclosed are a system, apparatus, and method for improving performance of antennas in electronic devices. The disclosed system, apparatus, and method uses a transparent dielectric substrate as an antenna. The transparent dielectric substrate may receive energy from a wave launcher and printed circuit board. To work as an antenna, the whole structure may include at least one wave launcher located between the dielectric transparent substrate and a printed circuit board. Also, the structure may include a ground at the bottom of solid dielectric transparent substrate with a separation space. The space should not be less than wavelength 1/10 of fundamental resonant frequency.

Systems, apparatus, and methods to improve antenna performance in electronic devices

An optical system for light energy concentration may comprise a light concentrator to convert incident light to converging light, a light collimating element to receive the converging light and to reduce an angle of convergence of the converging light, and a light directing element to direct the reduced-angle converging light to a light guide to transmit the directed light.

A method and system for treating domestic sewage and organic garbage are provided. The method comprises the steps of: multi-phase separation, retting, generating sewage gas, and optional biological denitrification and dephosphorization, which can convert the domestic sewage and organic garbage into clear water, sewage gas, organic manure and sludge. The system comprises a multi-phase separation device, a retting device, a sewage gas generating device and a biological denitrification and dephosphorization device, which can treat the domestic sewage and organic garbage effectively and environmental friendly to achieve a reduction in pollution emission.

A light emitting diode package for one or more light emitting diodes mounted on a substrate. A frame is disposed on at least a portion of the substrate and substantially surrounds, but does not contact, the light emitting diode. The frame is substantially transparent to light emitted from the light emitting diode and includes one or more first wavelength converting materials. The wavelength converting materials, which may be one or more phosphors, convert at least a portion of light emitted at the emission wavelength to different wavelength. A cover covers the light emitting diode within the frame. The cover layer includes one or more second wavelength converting materials differing from the first one or more wavelength converting materials in wavelength converting material concentration or in converted light wavelength or in combinations of wavelength converting materials.

LED package for uniform color emission

A lighting control system and an LED lamp for use with the lighting control system are provided. In one embodiment, the LED lamp includes a color LED including a red LED, a green LED, and a blue LED, and a lamp contact having a first contact section, a second contact section, and a third contact section, each of the first contact section, the second contact section, and the third contact section including a positive contact and a negative contact, wherein the first contact section is electrically connected to the red LED, the second contact section is electrically connected to the green LED, and the third contact section is electrically connected to the blue LED. The lighting control system may include an LED driver unit configured to provide independent electrical connection with each of the contact sections of the LED lamp.

An electronic label system is provided which includes a data source having information to be displayed by an electronic label. An optical source such as an LED array broadcasts optical signals modulated with the data source data to plural electronic labels. Each electronic label has an optical receiver which receives the modulated optical signals and also receives unmodulated optical signals to supply power to an energy storage device. A mode switch switches the optical receiver between a signal reception mode and an energy storage device power-supplying mode. One or more bistable displays display the data received from the modulated optical signals. Through the use of bistable displays, the power consumption of the electronic label is greatly reduced while use of a single receiving element for receiving both the signal light and power storage light reduces the number of components needed to assemble the electronic label, thus reducing cost.

Self-powered electronic label

The subject invention relates to a semiconductor package and method of manufacturing the same. The semiconductor package of the subject invention comprises a substrate with a through hole penetrating therethrough; a semiconductor chip positioned on the substrate covering the through hole; and a thermal conductive device filling the through hole and contacting the semiconductor chip. According to the subject invention, the thermal resistance in the structure of the semiconductor package is substantially reduced and thus desirable performance of heat spreading or dissipation is achieved. In addition, the production cost and size of the semiconductor package are also reduced.

Semiconductor package and method of manufacturing the same

A light emitting device package and a lighting system are provided. According to one embodiment, a functional substrate; at least one light emitting element bonded onto the functional substrate; and at least one design-in thermal detection unit built onto the functional substrate are provided, wherein the design-in thermal detection unit is proximate to the light emitting element, and wherein the design-in thermal detection unit is configured to detect the temperature and transmit a temperature signal. The design-in thermal detection unit may be an NTC thermistor based on a semiconductor substrate. A control system may be included to detect temperature and make any necessary current adjustments in order to maintain consistent performance of the light emitting element.

A lighting control system for controlling the lighting of a predetermined area is provided. According to one embodiment, the lighting control system comprises one or more light sources positioned in the predetermined area, the light source configured to include adjustable light intensity; a camera positioned and configured to capture an image of the predetermined area; and a controller in operable communication with the one or more light sources and the camera, the controller configured to control the one or more light sources and adjust the light intensity of the light source. The controller is configured to operate in a closed control loop to automatically adjust the lighting conditions of a predetermined area or environment. A false alarm checking process checks for temporary or localized events to prevent unnecessary lighting adjustments.
