A self-locking and positioning device for a dental brace, comprising: a brace main body, an elastic piece, and an upper cover. Wherein, on the brace main body is provided with a track and a fixing slot, while on the elastic piece is provided with a positioning piece and a slot. The positioning piece is provided with a barb, while the upper cover slides and fixes into the brace main body through the track. Then, the barb of the positioning piece on the elastic piece will act against a block portion on bottom of said upper cover, to restrict movement of the upper cover, to lock automatically the upper cover into position. The dental brace is simple in construction and easy to assemble, hereby raising production efficiency and yield.

A portable computer and base member arrangement having a base member and a portable computer is disclosed. The base member has two stop flanges protruded upwardly from the top face in two rear corners and adapted to engage two recessed locating holes of the portable computer after attachment of the portable computer to the base member, and a swinging retainer plate fastened pivotally with the front side and provided with two retaining rods adapted to engage into corresponding retaining holes in the front peripheral side of the portable computer to lock the portable computer to the base member after engagement between the recessed locating holes with protruded retaining portions of the stop flanges of the base member.

A piezoelectric ink jet print head and a fabrication method for a pressure chamber thereof. A silicon substrate has at least one large-size opening. A photoresist layer is formed in the large-size opening of the silicon substrate and has a plurality of small-size trenches spaced apart from each other. Each of the small-size trenches serves as a pressure chamber. An adhesion layer is formed overlying the silicon substrate to cover the photoresist layer and the small-size trenches. A silicon layer is formed overlying the adhesion layer to serve as a vibrating layer.

Piezoelectric ink jet print head and fabrication method for a pressure chamber thereof

A printhead includes a silicon substrate, a first barrier layer, a second barrier layer, and a nozzle plate. The silicon substrate has a plurality of thermal elements and a main ink supply channel, each of the thermal elements being in a firing chamber of the first barrier layer and in fluid communications with the main ink supply channel through ink channels. The top of each ink firing elements is aligned with a nozzle on the nozzle plate. To satisfy the need for high-frequency ink ejection, the second barrier layer is utilized to provide an auxiliary ink supply channel for increasing the ink supply speed. The ink channel between the main ink supply and the ink channel inlet is enlarged in the vertical direction so as to lower the pressure and thus increase the ink supply speed.

Ink supply structure for inkjet printhead

A portable computer standing support structure is disclosed to include a base member having a front locating device formed on the top face near the front edge and a rear locating device formed on the top face between the front edge and the rear edge, and a portable computer supported on a support arm at the base member and selectively positioned on the front locating device and rear locating device of the base member between an inclined position of low steepness for use with a touching pen and an inclined position of high steepness for use with a keyboard.

A portable computer and portable docking station arrangement includes a portable docking station equipped with a keyboard, a swinging bracket pivoted to the portable docking station, and a portable computer insertable into the swinging bracket in one of two reversed directions for enabling the arrangement to be used as a notebook computer or a tablet PC. A spare battery pack is provided at the portable docking station, and chargeable by external power supply upon insertion of the portable computer into the swinging bracket. Data transmission between the portable docking station and the portable computer may be achieved by a wired transmission method or wireless transmission method.

A method of manufacturing a piezoelectric ink-jet print-head uses a metallic layer and a thick film layer with a slot hole therein instead of a ceramic vibration plate and an ink layer. The piezoelectric layer and the upper electrode layer are formed inside the ink cavity so that overall thickness of the print head is reduced. To form the ink-jet print head, a metallic layer and a lower electrode layer are sequentially formed over a substrate. A patterned piezoelectric layer and an upper electrode layer are sequentially formed over the lower electrode layer. A patterned thick film layer with a slot hole therein is formed over the metallic layer. The thick film layer and the metallic layer together form a cavity that encloses the piezoelectric layer and the upper electrode layer. A nozzle plate having a nozzle thereon is attached to the thick film layer. The nozzle plate, the thick film layer and the metallic layer together form an ink cavity. The hole in the nozzle is continuous with the ink cavity.

A method of forming a nozzle plate of an inkjet print head. A silicon chip is provided with an activated device and a first film is formed on the silicon chip, with a first opening corresponding to the activated device. Then, a second film is formed on the first film. Next, a photoresist layer is formed on the second film, such that the photoresist layer has a second opening corresponding to the first opening. Next, the second film under the second opening of the photoresist layer is etched to form a via in the second film passing through the first opening.

Method of using photolithography and etching for forming a nozzle plate of an inkjet print head

An ink cartridge having a piezoelectric jet module has an ink storage module having a hollow ink storage region, a piezoelectric jet module having a plurality of ink chambers and a connection circuit, and an ink channel connected to the ink storage module and to the piezoelectric jet module. The piezoelectric inkjet printhead has a bottom film and chamber walls which are obtained by applying a photosensitive polymer on a substrate on which a piezoelectric layer has been formed and carrying out photolithography.

Process for producing inkjet printhead

A process for etching a substrate in an etching chamber , and simultaneously cleaning a thin, non-homogeneous, etch residue deposited on the surfaces of the walls and components of the etching chamber . In the etching step, process gas comprising etchant gas is used to etch a substrate in the etching chamber thereby depositing etch residue inside the chamber . Cleaning gas is added to the process gas for a sufficient time and in a volumetric flow ratio that is sufficiently high, to react with and remove substantially all the etch residue deposited by the process gas. The present method advantageously cleans the etch residue in the chamber , during the etching process, and without use of separate cleaning, conditioning, and seasoning process steps.

Self-cleaning etch process

A printhead includes a silicon substrate, a first barrier layer, a second barrier layer, and a nozzle plate. The silicon substrate has a plurality of thermal elements and a main ink supply channel, each of the thermal elements being in a firing chamber of the first barrier layer and in fluid communications with the main ink supply channel through ink channels. The top of each ink firing elements is aligned with a nozzle on the nozzle plate. To satisfy the need for high frequency ink ejection, the second barrier layer is utilized to provide an auxiliary ink supply channel for increasing the ink supply speed. The ink channel between the main ink supply and the ink channel inlet is enlarged in the vertical direction so as to lower the pressure and thus increase the ink supply speed.

The hole in the nozzle is continuous with the ink cavity.

Piezoelectric print-head and method of manufacture

A method in accordance with present invention comprises the steps of: forming a micro-control apparatus having a plurality of ejecting elements; forming a first layer of film on said micro-control apparatus and forming a plurality of ink chambers in the first layer of film; forming a second layer of photosensitive film on said first layer of film and forming an ink orifice in said second layer of photosensitive film relative to each of said plurality of ink chambers in the first layer of film by photolithography. The method for manufacturing the printhead in accordance with the present invention is relatively simple. Using this method, the application of a nozzle plate to a dry film photoresist and the precision alignment between ink orifices and ink chambers in manufacturing a conventional printhead can be avoided so that the throughput and yield rate can be increased.

Printhead of ink jet printing apparatus and manufacturing method therefor

An ink-jet cartridge for an ink-jet pen is disclosed. The cartridge includes a back pressure chamber in which the level of ink will be self-adjusted to provide ink for ejection and prevent ink from leakage. The ink-jet cartridge includes an ink reservoir for storing ink, a back pressure chamber, a print ink chamber and a print head. The back pressure chamber has one end fluid-communicated with the ink in the ink reservoir, and the other end fluid-communicated with the print ink chamber via an overflow vent which is at a position higher than the ink level of the ink reservoir. A suitable back pressure is applied to the back pressure chamber and the print ink chamber so that, when printing, the increased back pressure in the print ink chamber sucks ink from the ink reservoir through the overflow vent into the print ink chamber; while, when not printing, the extra height of the ink in the back pressure chamber relative to the ink level of the reservoir balances the back pressure at the back pressure chamber and the print ink chamber to prevent ink leakage from the print head. Therefore, it doesn't need a valve or a movable element to accomplish the ink supply and leakage prevention.
