A method for driving a pixel electrode disposed on a first substrate operates by providing a voltage corresponding to a displaying data to the pixel electrode and a control electrode, such that the pixel electrode and the control electrode are at a floating connection state; providing a first coupling voltage to a coupling electrode; and coupling a variation of a first coupling voltage to the control electrode via at least one coupling capacitor, such that an absolute value of a voltage difference between the control electrode and a common electrode substantially greater than an absolute value of a voltage difference between the pixel electrode and the common electrode, wherein the common electrode is disposed on a second substrate and the second substrate is corresponding to the first substrate.

Pixel structure and forming method and driving method thereof

A pixel structure, disposed on a first substrate, and electrically coupled to at least one scan line and at least one data line is provided. The pixel structure includes a first switch device, a second switch device, at least one pixel electrode, at least one control electrode, and at least one coupling electrode. The first switch device is electrically coupled to the scan line and the data line. The second switch device is electrically coupled to the scan line and the data line. The pixel electrode is electrically coupled to the second switch device. The control electrode is electrically coupled to the first switch element. The coupling electrode is disposed under the control electrode.

Pixel structure of display and method for manufacturing the same

A liquid crystal display including a number of scan lines, a number of data lines, a pixel, a first switch circuit, and a second switch circuit is provided. The scan lines include an Nscan line and an (N+1)scan line, where N is a positive integer. The pixel includes a first sub-pixel and a second sub-pixel. The first switch circuit is coupled to both the Nscan line and the (N+1)scan line and is used for controlling the second sub-pixel. The second switch circuit is coupled to the Nscan line and is used for controlling the first sub-pixel. The pixel is used for displaying a red, a green, a blue, or a white color.

Low color-shift liquid crystal display and driving method therefor

A liquid crystal display includes a gate driver, a data driver and a pixel matrix. The gate driver is for outputting a plurality of gate signals successively. The data driver is for providing a plurality of data signals. The pixel matrix includes a number of pixels. Each pixel includes a first sub-pixel, a second sub-pixel and a voltage coupling device. The voltage coupling device is coupled between the first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel such that pixel voltages of the first sub-pixel and the second sub-pixel are different and have relevant variation.

Liquid crystal display and driving method thereof

The disclosed is a liquid crystal display panel having alignment protrusions with an appropriate optical density (OD) of about 0.3/&#x3bc;m to 3/&#x3bc;m, and preferably of about 0.8/&#x3bc;m to 1.3/&#x3bc;m. The invention solves problems such as light leakage in dark conditions caused by transparent alignment protrusions and mismatch caused by black alignment protrusions overlapping the alignment marks.

Liquid crystal display panel

A liquid crystal display device and a forming method of the electrode plate are disclosed. The forming method of the electrode plate includes providing one or more bottom plane electrodes, one or more conductive layers and a dielectric layer, floating the bottom plane electrodes, electrically connecting the conductive layers and an electrode of a thin film transistor, positioning the dielectric layer between the bottom plane electrodes and the conductive layers, utilizing the conductive layers, the dielectric layer and the bottom plane electrodes to form a coupling capacitor, and adjusting the capacitance of the coupling capacitor to control the voltage on the bottom plane electrodes. Therefore, the liquid crystal display device makes every sub-pixel have a predetermined voltage-transmittance characteristic curve by controlling the voltage on the bottom plane electrodes.
