A prism unit includes a first prism having a first incident face and a first refraction face that is adjacent to and that cooperates with the first incident face to define a first angle ranging 50&#xb0; to 70&#xb0;, a second prism having a second incident face that is generally parallel to the first refraction face and a medium layer sandwiched between the first refraction face and the second incident face, and having a refractive index smaller than that of the first and second prisms.

Prism set and light emitting apparatus using the same

A backlight module including an extruded metallic carrier, a reflector sheet, a light source and a diffuser plate is provided. Of which, the extruded metallic carrier has a carrier's top-face and plural heat-dissipating tunnels with an accommodation sink being formed on the carrier's top-face; both the reflector sheet and the light source are deposited in the accommodation sink with the former being situated under the latter; the diffuser plate is situated above the light source. The extruded metallic carrier according to the invention not only maintains the overall evenness of the backlight module but also dissipates the heat outside, hence preventing the diffuser plate from being caved in and deformed due to a high temperature and improving the luminance quality of the backlight module.

Backlight module

A backlight module. The backlight module comprises first to fourth fixed seats, first and second conductive devices, and lamps. The first and second fixed seats have grooves. The first and second conductive devices have V-shaped scallops electrically connected with one another. Each V-shaped scallop is disposed in a corresponding groove. The lamps are disposed parallel to one another, each having a first and second ends respectively disposed in the grooves of the third and fourth fixed seats, for fixing the lamps. Depth and area of each V-shaped scallop both exceed a diameter of the lamp. A liquid crystal display device utilizing the backlight module is also disclosed.

Backlight module and a display device utilizing the same

A backlight module includes a bezel and a reflective shell. The bezel includes a bezel base, a bezel side plate connected to the bezel base, and an engagement structure mounted on an external side surface of the bezel side plate. The reflective shell includes a reflective shell top plate and a reflective shell side plate, which is connected to the reflective shell top plate and has an engagement hole to be engaged with the engagement structure such that the reflective shell is tightly combined with the bezel.

A backlight assembly for a liquid crystal display panel, including a lamp housing; a lamp; a diffuser plate; and a plurality of supports. The supports each has first and second members. The first member has a body and a groove formed in the body for holding the lamp and attaching the lamp to the lamp housing. A ring-shape member may be disposed about a section of the lamp for providing cushioning between the lamp and the first member. The second member has an elongated body for supporting the diffuser plate when it attempts to sag or distort.
