An amphiphilic block copolymer is disclosed. The amphiphilic block copolymer includes one or more hydrophilic polymers, one or more hydrophobic polymer, and one or more zwitterions. The invention also provides a nanoparticle and carrier including the amphiphilic block copolymer for delivery of water insoluble drugs, growth factors, genes, or water insoluble cosmetic substances.

A thermo-sensitve copolymer of following formula; is disclosed; wherein Ris hydrogen, or &#x2014;C(&#x2550;O)&#x2014;R; Ris Calkyl substituted or unsubstituted with functional groups; Ris hydrogen, or Calkyl; and x, y or z individually is an integer greater than 0. The thermo-sensitive copolymers disclosed here are easy to be implanted into a human body through injection. The biodegradability is greatly improved and the cytotoxicity of the copolymers is low.

When the high molecular weight layer is heated to close to its glass (transition) temperature by applying an AC field in order to induce thermal motion in molecular electric coupling poles present in the high molecular weight layer, the coupling poles are polarized by an external electric field applied between a microscopic probe tip and the intermediate conductive layer, the polarization becoming fixed when the temperature of the layer drops.
