A method of resource allocation for Channel State Information (CSI) feedback is provided, which comprises the following steps of: configuring a downlink transmission approach and a feedback mode for each User Equipment (UE); allocating feedback resources required for CSI feedback by each UE based on the configured downlink transmission approach and feedback mode, such that different types underlying different feedback modes for a single UE will not collide with each other within one sub-frame; and notifying each UE of the corresponding configured downlink transmission approach and feedback mode and allocated feedback resources. Further, a method of Channel State Information (CSI) feedback is provided, which comprises the following steps of: feeding downlink CSI back to a base station (BS) based on a downlink transmission approach and a feedback mode configured by the BS; and solving, when different types underlying different feedback modes collide with each other within one sub-frame, the collision based on a collision solution rule.

The present invention provides a method carried out by a base station, including: a step (S) of generating a code sequence containing system information of the base station; a step (S) generating, by modulating the code sequence, a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) sequence including a distributed PRB frequency division multiplexing format or a centralized PRB frequency division multiplexing format; a step (S) of selecting a physical resource block (PRB) for a PBCH contained in the PBCH sequence; and a step (S) of carrying out mapping between the PBCH and a resource element (RE) in the PRB thus selected. The method comprises: acquiring a set of CSI processes which are configured by a transmission point (TP) to participate in multi-antenna multi-TP coordination; acquiring a sub-band (SB) inheritance which is configured by a TP for a CSI process from the set of CSI processes; calculating the CSI based on the configuration for the CSI process; and feeding the calculated CSI back to a TP. The present invention provides a method and a coder for jointly coding Pre-coding Matrix Index #1 (W) and Rank Index (RI) for channel state information feedback of a double codebook precoding frame. In the present invention, it is determined whether Rank Index RI is more than 2; if the RI is no more than 2, a first half branch of a coding binary tree is used to represent joint coding of the RI and Wwhen RI=1 and RI=2; if the RI is more than 2, a second half branch of the coding binary tree is used to represent remaining separate codings and/or joint codings when the RI is more than 2; and processing results of the above coding steps are output. The present invention may be applied to an equal-length coding or an unequal-length coding. The present invention has advantages such as easy implementation, lower signaling overhead etc., and may be suitable for an LTE-A/4G cellular communication system and a future 5G cellular communication system.
