A disc grabbing device adapted to a disc archive system for grabbing at least one disc is provided. The disc grabbing device includes a center cylinder, a drive controller and a detection device. When the disc is grabbed by the disc grabbing device, the center cylinder passes through the center hole of the disc. The drive controller is configured to control the disc grabbing device to grab the disc. The detection device is electrically connected to the drive controller to detect a surface of a disc placed on a disc tray to be grabbed, and to correspondingly transmit a drive stop signal to the drive controller to stop the operation of the disc grabbing device.

Disc grabbing device adapted to disc archive system

A disc grabbing apparatus includes a body, a first rod and a second rod. The body includes a central shaft. The first rod includes a pushing portion and a first supporting portion sequentially disposed from top to bottom. The second rod includes a first groove and a second supporting portion sequentially disposed from top to bottom. The first and second rods define a disc region with respect to the central shaft. When the first rod and the second rod are in a first state, the pushing portion is located outside the disc region and the groove faces away from the disc region; when the first rod and the second rod rotate to a second state from the first state in a first rotation direction, the pushing portion is located within the disc region and the first groove faces the disc region.

Disc grabbing apparatus with different states for carrying and releasing disc

A disc drive has an opening portion for inserting a disc. The disc drive includes a driving unit, a moving member, a traverse, a disc positioning structure and a restoring structure. When the disc is intended to be clamped on the traverse, the driving unit drives the moving member to move the traverse to a disc holding position to clamp the disc; and the moving member moves the disc positioning structure to a disc release position so that the disc positioning structure does not contact the disc. When the disc is intended to be released from the traverse, the driving unit drives the moving member to move the traverse to a disc unloading position to unload the disc; and the restoring structure moves the disc positioning structure to a disc loading position to support the disc.

Disc drive having disc positioning structure

A disc grabbing device including a support body, a drive shaft, multiple first planetary gears, a center gear, multiple second planetary gears and a driver is provided. The support body includes a plate and a center column. When the disc grabbing device grabs the discs, the center column is located in the center holes of the discs. The drive shaft is rotatably disposed on the plate. The first planetary gears are respectively engaged with the drive shaft and connected to multiple first levers for driving the first levers to rotate. The second planetary gears are respectively engaged with the center gear and connected to multiple second levers for driving the second levers to rotate. The driver concurrently drives the drive shaft and the center gear to rotate the first planetary gears and the second planetary gears synchronically and make the first levers and the second levers rotate synchronically.

Disc grabbing device for grabbing a plurality of discs and sequentially unloading the plurality of discs

A disc grabbing device including a disc grabbing body, a weight sensing unit and a counter is provided. The disc grabbing body is used for grabbing or unloading at least one disc. The weight sensing unit is disposed on the disc grabbing body for sensing a weight of the at least one disc grabbed on the disc grabbing body. The counter is connected to the weight sensing unit used for obtaining a disc quantity of the discs grabbed on the disc grabbing body according to the weight.

Disc grabbing device and operating method thereof

An opening and closing device of rotating cage type jukebox disc tray including a first disc tray carrying discs and an opening and closing mechanism of disc tray including a first linkage mechanism and a first driving device is provided. The first linkage mechanism includes a first linkage bar, a first sliding member and a second linkage bar. The second linkage bar is slidingly disposed on the first sliding member which is slidingly disposed on the first linkage bar. When an end portion of the second linkage bar is connected to a first ear portion on a lateral side of the first disc tray, the first driving device drives the first sliding member to slide on the first linkage bar, leading the second linkage bar to slide on the first sliding member and thereby leading the first disc tray to rotate around a first fixing post.

Opening and closing device of rotating cage type jukebox disc tray

A disc grabbing device including a body, a drive shaft, a first cam, a second cam, multiple first movable parts and multiple second movable parts are provided. The drive shaft is rotatably disposed in the body. A first cam and a second cam are disposed on the drive shaft, and rotate together with the drive shaft. The first movable parts are disposed in the body and correspond to the first cam, and move to a disc hold position or a disc release position along with the rotation of the first cam. The second movable parts are disposed in the body and correspond to the second cam, and move to a disc release position or a disc hold position along with the rotation of the second cam.

An optical disk drive is provided. The optical disk drive includes a first carrying member disposed on a base, and a second carrying member disposed on an upper cover. The first carrying member has a first optical pick-up head and a spindle motor. The second carrying member has a second optical pick-up head and a clamper rotatably disposed on the second carrying member. The clamper and the spindle motor together clamp an optical disk.

An optical disk drive with multiple optical pick-up heads is provided. The optical disk drive includes an upper cover, a base, a first carrier member, a second carrier member, a first limiting member, and a second limiting member. The base is disposed under the upper cover. The first carrier member disposed on the base and has a first optical pick-up head. The second carrier member is disposed on the upper cover and has a second optical pick-up head. The first limiting member is used for disposing the first end of the second carrier member on the upper cover. The second limiting member is used for disposing the second end of the second carrier member on the upper cover. The length of the first limiting member is larger than that of the second limiting member.

A tray locking device adapted to an optical disc drive for locking and releasing a tray is provided. The optical disc drive has an optical head connected to a lead screw and driven to move by the lead screw. The tray locking device includes a pushing member driven to move by the lead screw, a latching hook for locking and releasing a protruding pin, and a transmission assembly configured between the pushing member and the latching hook. The transmission assembly includes a first rod and a second rod movably configured in the tray. The first rod has a first driving portion, and the second rod has a second driving portion. When the transmission assembly is located at an initial position, the first driving portion is located on a moving path of the pushing member, while the second driving portion is not located on the moving path of the pushing member.

Tray locking device for optical disc drive

An optical disk drive including a case, a traverse, a guide rod, an optical pick-up head and at least a locking member is provided. The traverse is disposed in the case and includes at least a cantilever part and at least a locking hole. The cantilever part protrudes from a carrying surface of the traverse and is integrated with the traverse. The guide rod leans against a bearing end of the cantilever part. The optical pick-up head is slidably disposed on the guide rod. The locking member includes a leaning part and a locking part. The locking part is locked into the locking hole and the leaning part presses an upper side of an end of the guide rod for making the bearing end generate a bending displacement toward the carrying surface through the guide rod.

Adjustment mechanism for optical pickup head of optical disk drive

An optical disc drive is provided. The optical disc drive includes a housing having a protruding pin, an optical head engaged to a lead screw, a tray slidably disposed in the housing and a tray locking device disposed on the tray. The tray locking device includes a pushing member, wherein the pushing member and the optical head are driven by the lead screw to move, a latching hook used to latch and release the protruding pin, and a transmission assembly disposed between the pushing member and the latching hook. The transmission assembly has a driving portion disposed on a moving path of the pushing member, wherein the pushing member pushes the driving portion so that the transmission assembly is actuated and drives the latching hook to release the protruding pin.

The tray locking device includes: a pushing member, disposed on the optical head; a first stop portion, disposed on the tray; a latching hook, adapted to latch and release a pin; and a transmission assembly, disposed between the pushing member and the latching hook and having a lever element and a weight block, wherein the lever element is movably disposed on the tray and has a second stop portion, and the first stop portion and the second stop portion can be coupled with each other.

An optical disc drive with a positioning mechanism suitable for reading data from an optical disc is provided. The optical disc drive comprises a casing, a tray, a reading module and a rail. The tray is disposed inside the casing. The tray has a first positioning part and is suitable for withdrawing from the casing. The reading module is disposed on the tray and is suitable for reading data from an optical disc. The rail is disposed inside the casing and is suitable for withdrawing from the casing when driven by the tray. The rail has a second positioning part. When the tray is ejected from the casing, the location of the tray relative to the casing is maintained through the first positioning part and the second positioning part. Therefore, an optical disc can be put on the tray or removed from the tray with ease.
