A controller capable of preventing spread of computer viruses is provided. The controller includes a microprocessor unit, and a first interface unit, a second interface unit, a comparing unit and a filter unit which are coupled to the microprocessor unit. The first interface unit is coupled to a storage medium, and the second interface unit is coupled to a computer host. The comparing unit determines whether data read form the storage medium by the computer host is an automatic executing file. And, the filter unit replaces the read data with a predetermined data and transmit the predetermined data to the computer host when the read data is the automatic executing file. Accordingly, the controller is capable of preventing the spread of the computer viruses designed in an automatic executing file.

An active matrix substrate is provided. The active matrix substrate includes a substrate, a plurality of scan lines disposed on the substrate, a plurality of data lines disposed on the substrate, a plurality of pixel units disposed on the substrate and a dielectric layer disposed on the substrate. The pixel units are electrically connected with the corresponding scan lines and data lines. Each pixel unit includes an active device and a pixel electrode electrically connected with the active device, such a pixel electrode includes at least a first slit. The dielectric layer covers the first slit, and the dielectric layer includes a plurality of second slits for exposing a part of each of the pixel electrodes.

Therefore, the liquid crystal display device makes every sub-pixel have a predetermined voltage-transmittance characteristic curve by controlling the voltage on the bottom plane electrodes.

A pixel structure electrically connected to a scan line and a data line, includes an active device, a first pixel electrode, a second pixel electrode, a capacitor coupling electrode and a charge releasing device. The active device is electrically connected to the scan line and the data line. The second pixel electrode is electrically isolated from the first pixel electrode. The capacitor coupling electrode is disposed under the second pixel electrode and electrically connected to the data line through the active device. The charge releasing device is electrically connected to the second pixel electrode. The above-described pixel structure is able to effectively solve the image sticking problem. In addition, further provides an active matrix substrate which is able to avoid the image sticking effect.

The storage capacitor includes a bottom electrode, a floating electrode, and an upper electrode. The transparent electrode is electrically connected to the upper electrode. The first reflective electrode is electrically connected to the floating electrode and electrically insulated from the transparent electrode. A storage capacitor is disposed between the substrate and the pixel electrode, which comprises a bottom electrode, a capacitor dielectric layer, and a top electrode. The bottom electrode is disposed in the pixel region, creating an overlap region with the slit. The capacitor dielectric layer and the top electrode are successively disposed on the bottom electrode, in which the top electrode comprises at least one recess region to partially expose the overlap region.

Array substrate for liquid crystal display with particular storage capacitor electrodes

A multi-domain vertical alignment liquid crystal display (MVA LCD) has a plurality of pixel electrodes for defining a plurality of pixel units. The pixel units are disposed in matrix arrangement, and each of them has a first electrode, a second electrode, and a third electrode. When a voltage is applied to said pixel electrode, the first electrode and the common electrode have a higher absolute voltage difference than the second electrode and the common electrode. The third electrode and the common electrode have the lowest absolute voltage difference.
