Mobile devices with integrated slot antennas are provided are provided. A representative mobile device includes: an exterior housing having a front and a back and defining an interior; a display, mounted to the housing, configured to display images at the front of the housing; and an antenna structure positioned within the interior; the housing having a first portion and a second portion, each of which is formed of metal, the first portion being located at the back of the housing and defining a first slot such that the antenna structure and the first slot form a first slot antenna, the second portion being located at the front of the housing and defining a second slot such that the antenna structure and the second slot form a second slot antenna.

A mobile device includes a first nonconductive support member, a second nonconductive support member adjacent to, and lower than, the first nonconductive supporting member, and an antenna structure that includes a first radiating portion disposed on the first nonconductive support member, a second radiating portion disposed on the first nonconductive support member and extending in a direction opposite to the first radiating portion, a feeding element, and a connecting portion disposed on the first nonconductive support member and the second nonconductive support member that couples the first radiating portion and the second radiating portion to each other and to the feeding element, wherein the first nonconductive support member is part of a visible outside edge portion of the mobile device.

An antenna structure is placed next to a pivot structure of the mobile device and a parasitic element is placed next to a high-frequency radiation element extending from a feeding element, so as to resonate with the high-frequency radiation element to generate a resonant mode for compensating the lack of a high-frequency bandwidth.

A mobile device includes a metal mechanism element, a ground plane, a feeding element, a parasitic element, and a dielectric substrate. The metal mechanism element has a slot. The ground plane is coupled to the metal mechanism element. The feeding element is coupled to a signal source. The feeding element extends across the slot. The parasitic element is coupled to the ground plane. The parasitic element extends across the slot. The ground plane, the feeding element, and the parasitic element are disposed on the dielectric substrate. An antenna structure is formed by the feeding element, the parasitic element, and the slot of the metal mechanism element.

A mobile device includes a system ground plane and an antenna system. The antenna system includes a dielectric substrate, an antenna ground plane, a radiation element, and at least one feeding element. The antenna ground plane is coupled to the system ground plane. The feeding element is coupled to a signal source. The feeding element is positioned between the radiation element and the antenna ground plane. The feeding element and the radiation element are completely separate from each other. The radiation element is excited by the feeding element by coupling.

A mobile device includes a first nonconductive supporting element, a second nonconductive supporting element, and an antenna structure. The first nonconductive supporting element and the second nonconductive supporting element are adjacent to each other. The first nonconductive supporting element and the second nonconductive supporting element have different heights. The antenna structure is formed on the first nonconductive supporting element and the second nonconductive supporting element. The antenna element includes a feeding connection element, a first radiation element, and a second radiation element. The feeding connection element is coupled to a feeding point. The first radiation element and the second radiation element are coupled to the feeding connection element. The feeding connection element is disposed between the first radiation element and the second radiation element.

A mobile device includes a ground element and an antenna structure. The antenna structure includes a feeding connection element, a first radiation element, a second radiation element, a shorting element, and a parasitic radiation element. The feeding connection element is coupled to a signal source. The first radiation element is coupled to the feeding connection element. The first radiation element has an open end. The second radiation element is coupled to the feeding connection element. The second radiation element has an open end. The feeding connection element is coupled through the shorting element to the ground element. The parasitic radiation element is adjacent to the second radiation element.
