In an elevator apparatus, an abnormal acceleration detecting mechanism includes a mass body that operates in connection with movement of the car, the abnormal acceleration detecting mechanism operating a safety device using a force of inertia that is generated by the mass body if an acceleration that exceeds a predetermined set value arises in a car. A breakage detecting means detects breakage of a suspending means that suspends the car. A resistance force applying apparatus applies a resistance force to a mechanism for activating the safety device such that the resistance force is applied when breakage of the suspending means is not detected by the breakage detecting means and the resistance force is reduced if breakage of the suspending means is detected by the breakage detecting means.

Elevator apparatus

In an elevator apparatus, a car is suspended by a suspending device. A braking apparatus applies a braking force to the car by the suspending device. An excessive speed detection level that changes in response to car position is set in an excessive speed monitoring portion. The excessive speed monitoring portion makes the braking apparatus perform a braking operation when car speed reaches the excessive speed detection level. An anomalous acceleration detecting mechanism operates a safety device if acceleration that exceeds a preset set value arises in the car.

In an elevator apparatus, a car is suspended by a suspending means. The car is raised and lowered by a driving apparatus by means of the suspending means. The car is braked by a braking apparatus. An abnormal acceleration detecting mechanism operates the braking apparatus to stop the car if acceleration that exceeds a preset set value arises in the car.

Elevator with acceleration detection

In a speed governor for an elevator, a clutch mechanism is provided between a governor sheave and a rotary body. An actuator performs switching between transmission and interruption of rotation by the clutch mechanism according to whether or not energization from a DC generator, which generates a current by rotation of the governor sheave, is performed. A rectifier circuit allows the current to flow from the DC generator to the actuator only when a rotating direction of the governor sheave is a predetermined one of a first direction and a second direction.

Speed governor for an elevator

An elevator governor capable of setting first overspeeds different between a rising time and a descending time by a simple configuration and at a low cost without the need for electric power supply from the outside. For this purpose, a weight that is moved in a predetermined direction by receiving a centrifugal force according to a travel speed at the rising time and the descending time of a car, an elastic body urged by movement of the weight having received the centrifugal force, and an actuating device actuates a stop switch when the weight having received the centrifugal force moves to a predetermined position against an urging force of the elastic body are provided, and also a switching device driven by the rising/descending operation of the car is provided. By the switching device, the length of the elastic body at the time when the actuating devices actuates the stop switch is switched to a length different according to the rising/descending direction of the car.

Elevator speed governor and elevator device

In an emergency stop system for an elevator, a governor sheave that moves in synchronism with the raising and lowering of a car is wound around a governor sheave. The car is mounted with a safety device for braking the car through displacement of the car, which is connected to the governor rope, with respect to the governor rope. A control device outputs an activation signal upon detecting an abnormality in the speed of the car. A rope catching device is provided in the vicinity of the governor sheave. The rope catching device has an electromagnetic actuator that is activated upon input of the activation signal, and a restraining portion for restraining the governor rope upon the activation of the electromagnetic actuator.

Emergency stop system of elevator

An elevator apparatus has a criterion (overspeed levels) that changes in accordance with an operational condition of a car. The elevator apparatus also has a position information correcting means that corrects an error in value that determines the criterion. In the elevator apparatus, the overspeed levels are determined using continuous information corresponding to car position, while the continuous information is corrected using intermittent information corresponding to actual car position. According to the elevator apparatus, on-the-spot adjustment or long-time maintenance becomes unnecessary, and overspeed detection levels can easily be changed in accordance with the operation conditions of the car.

Elevator apparatus with position correction for overspeed detection

An elevator system and a speed governor detecting first over-speeds of different values set for different moving directions of an elevator car. The speed governor includes a fly weight speed governing mechanism on a sheave on which a speed governing rope is wound and operates in both ascending and descending modes of the elevator car, and a fly ball speed governing mechanism coupled with a horizontal shaft of the sheave via a clutch mechanism. The clutch mechanism transmits the torque of the sheave to a second shaft of the fly ball speed governing mechanism when the sheave rotates in a forward direction, and disengages the transmission of the torque to the second shaft when the sheave rotates in a reverse direction.
