In an electric device (), an air inlet (),a gas-liquid contact portion (), a water collecting portion () and an air outlet () are arranged in sequential order from upstream of an air duct (). In a water storage portion () the gas-liquid contact portion () is dipped and the water collected thereby is stored. An electrolyzing portion () generates the electrolyzed water () containing an active oxygen species by electrolyzing the water stored in the water storage portion (). As a result, a compact electric device with an air cleaning function is provided at low cost that is capable of generating water containing an active oxygen species without requiring additional water feed and without generating a by-product.

Electric device with air cleaning function

An electrolyzing device is capable of removing scales adhered to a cathode in an electrolyzing mode without deteriorating an electrode forming an anode. An electrolyzing device includes a first main electrode, a second main electrode, an auxiliary electrode, and control means C for controlling current supply to the electrodes, the control means C includes an electrolyzing mode in which treated water is electrochemically treated by using the first main electrodeas an anode and the second main electrodeas a cathode, a scale removal mode of the second main electrode in which scales adhered to the second main electrodeare removed by using the second main electrodeas the anode and the auxiliary electrodeas the cathode, and a scale removal mode of the auxiliary electrode in which scales adhered to the auxiliary electrodeare removed by using the auxiliary electrodeas the anode and the second main electrodeas the cathode.

Electrolyzing device

There disclosed a water reuse method in which a surfactant is easily removed from surfactant-including for-treatment water in a cleaning device, whereby water can be reused, and an adsorbent can easily be regenerated only by exposing the adsorbent to an electrolytic solution, and a washing machine including the function. The method includes a surfactant adsorption treatment step of performing a treatment to adsorb and remove a surfactant in surfactant-including for-treatment water such as cleaning water and rinse water used in a washing machine W by hydrotalcite as an anion exchanger or zeolite as a cation exchanger, and a water reuse step of using, in the washing machine W, the for-treatment water treated in the surfactant adsorption treatment step.

Water reuse method in cleaning device

An object is to provide an electrode for electrolysis which is preferable in generation of ozone water usable in cleaning and sterilizing of water and sewage, or cleaning in a semiconductor device manufacturing process by an electrolysis process, and a method of manufacturing this electrode for electrolysis. The surface of a conductive substrate constituting the electrode for electrolysis is coated with a noble metal such as platinum or a noble metal oxide to form an intermediate layer, further a surface layer is constituted of a dielectric material on the surface of the intermediate layer, and the surface layer is provided with holes.

Wastewater treating method and wastewater treating apparatus

There is provided a method for treating for-treatment waste water containing an organic matter and a nitrogen compound, which can quickly and efficiently treat the for-treatment water containing the organic matter and the nitrogen compound and greatly reduce a power consumption amount, and which can be achieved by a relatively compact apparatus. A gist is that in treatment of the for-treatment water containing the organic matter and the nitrogen compound, the followings are carried out: an electrochemical treatment step of immersing at least a pair of electrodes at least partially in the for-treatment water to treat the nitrogen compound thereof by an electrochemical technique; and a biochemical treatment step of biochemically treating the nitrogen compound in the for-treatment water after completion of the electrochemical treatment step.

Method for treating for-treatment water containing organic matter and nitrogen compound

Object of the preferred embodiment is to remove sol-form microparticles and nitrogen components contained in CMP wastewater. Sol-form microparticle components contained in CMP wastewater are removed by a filtration treatment using a filter device, having a gel-form second filter. Also, nitrogen components in the CMP wastewater are removed by an electrochemical treatment using electrode. The filtration treatment and the electrochemical treatment can be carried out in individual tanks or can be carried out in the same tank. By performing the filtration treatment and the electrochemical treatment in the same tank, a space-saving water treatment device can be provided.

Water treatment device and water treatment method using the same

An object of the present invention is to provide a waste water treating method and a waste water treating apparatus which are capable of treating for-treatment water containing a nitrogen compound and a phosphorus compound at low costs and efficiently. The waste water treating method is a waste water treating method for treating a nitrogen compound (nitrate nitrogen) and a phosphorus compound (phosphate ions) in for-treatment water by electrolysis as an electrochemical process, the method comprises a first treating step of immersing a pair of electrodes in the for-treatment water at least partially so as to treat the for-treatment water by electrolysis, one of the electrodes being a cathode made of a conductive material and the other of the electrodes being an anode made of iron, and a second treating step of treating the for-treatment water with hypochlorous acid, ozone or active oxygen after completion of the first treating step.

Waste water treating method and waste water treating apparatus

An alkanethiol monolayer membrane is formed on a substrate having an Au layer using Au--S bonding, and a second layer constructed by a monolayer lipid membrane is formed on its surface to form a BLM. A gel layer is formed using agarose on the side of the BLM having the second monolayer lipid layer. In addition, a polymer layer is formed using the amino acid poly-L-lysine between the surface of the monolayer lipid membrane and the gel layer to immobilize the BLM. The use of this supporting constitution for holding and immobilizing the membrane extends the life-span of the BLM, while the gel layer keeps the electrolyte solution required for maintaining flexibility of the membrane and activating protein on the surface of the BLM. In addition, a BLM having a life-span of one month or more is obtained by arranging a membrane supporting portion that minimizes lifting of the membrane molecules due to buoyancy above the BLM arranged upright in an aqueous system.

Bilayer membrane device

A biological oscillating device comprises a lipid-impregnated membrane which is disposed in an electrolyte solution and in which is buried an ion channel having a selectivity opposite to that of the lipid-impregnated membrane, and an electrode provided for transmitting a membrane potential of the lipid-impregnated membrane in the form of an electrical signal. When a membrane potential is caused across the lipid-impregnated membrane by the application of an electric current via an eletrode, or by the activation of the ion pump, an ion pump, an ion channel opens once the magnitude of the membrane potential reaches the active potential of the ion channel, whereby the membrane potential is accordingly eliminated. Upon the elimination of the membrane potential, the ion channel is closed to allow the membrane potential to be again raised. Then, once reaching the active potential of the ion channel, the ion channel reopens so that the membrane potential is correspondingly eliminated. Through the repetition of such procedures, an oscillating electrical signal can be generated.

Biological oscillating device

A neural modeling device comprising an electrolyte, a lipid or lipid-impregnated membrane which is situated in the electrolyte and in which an ion pump and an ion channel are buried, and an electrode for transmitting a potential of the lipid or lipid-impregnated membrane as an electrical signal. The ion pump actively transports selected ions in the electrolyte through the membrane from one side to the other side in response to an external stimulus such as light irradiation. When the difference in potential between the opposite sides of the membrane reaches a threshold, the ion channel opens to passively transport selected ions in a direction reverse to the ion transporting direction of the ion pump. When this device is exposed to light, the ion pump actively transports ions to generate a potential in the lipid or lipid-impregnated membrane. Upon detection of this potential, the ion channel opens to eliminate the potential, and then another potential will be generated again by the active transportation of the ion pump. Thus it is possible to generate an oscillating electrical signal by an external stimulus such as light irradiation.
