An optical monitoring system serves to monitor surroundings, having a monitoring apparatus, the visual or scanning field of which is captured by a lens, and a protection panel () which protects the lens from precipitation and covers at least the visual or scanning field of the monitoring apparatus. In order to avoid the signal quality of the monitoring apparatus being impaired by precipitation on the protection panel, it is proposed that the protection panel () is acoustically coupled to at least one ultrasonic transducer (). The optical monitoring system can be included into the control system of a vehicle for autonomous driving, wherein, overall, it is possible to obtain increased safety of the control system.

Optical monitoring device

A device () for eliminating deposits and/or precipitation on a substrate () comprises at least one transducer () captively connected to the substrate () by a connection layer (), wherein the connection layer () is arranged between the substrate () and the transducer (). The invention provides for the connection layer () to comprise a connection material () and a filling material (). Furthermore, an optical system for environment monitoring comprising an optical monitoring device comprising a lens and/or an observation window and the above device is provided, wherein the lens or the observation window is formed by the substrate.

Device for removing deposits and/or precipitate on a substrate

A system comprises a plate () and one or more transducers () coupled to the plate (). Each of the one or more transducers () is operable to generate ultrasonic waves which propagate through the plate () in a propagation direction (), for ultrasonically clearing droplets () of fluid from the plate (). The plate () comprises one or more structures disposed in the path of ultrasonic waves and configured to control the propagation of ultrasonic waves in the plate () to achieve a predetermined amount of ultrasonic wave energy propagating in a direction opposite to the propagation direction (). The value of one or more parameters of the shape of each of the one or more structures is predetermined to achieve a predetermined effect on ultrasonic waves incident on the structure.

Ultrasonic fluid clearing systems

The disclosure relates to an audio signal processing apparatus for processing an input audio signal, comprising a filter unit comprising a plurality of filters, each filter configured to filter the input audio signal to obtain a plurality of filtered audio signals, each filter designed according to an extended mode matching beamforming applied to a surface of a half revolution, the surface partially characterizing a loudspeaker enclosure shape, a plurality of scaling units, each scaling unit configured to scale the plurality of filtered audio signals using a plurality of gain coefficients to obtain a plurality of scaled filtered audio signals, and a plurality of adders, each adder configured to combine the plurality of scaled filtered audio signals, thereby providing an output audio signal for producing a sound field having a beam directivity pattern defined by the plurality of gain coefficients.
