A method for electronic device virtualization and management includes transmitting a signal to a server from a client. The signal is initiated by a user of a user interface of the client. The user interface of the client presents at least two devices to the user, which the user may interact with. The signal may include a power cycling instruction directed to at least one of the devices. When the server receives a communication back from the at least one device, it may send the information to the client, where the user interface may be updated in response to the communication. The devices may be controlled with other instructions, such as scheduling instructions, firmware update instructions, and configuration backup instructions. If a power device is virtualized, it may be controlled on a port-by-port basis.

Method for electronic device virtualization and management

A method is described. The method includes receiving an access request from a router, the router having received the access request from a client device, the client device initiating the access request to obtain access to a website or application. The method also includes sending an authorization request to an authorizing user, the authorization request comprising the access request, thereby enabling the authorizing user to see information related to the access sought to be obtained. The method further includes receiving an authorization response from the authorizing user. The method additionally includes sending the authorization response to the router, enabling the router to act on the access request.

Systems and methods for cloud-based network control

A method for monitoring a network device is described. The method includes analyzing a traffic log that records network activity between the network device and a cloud server. The method also includes determining that the network device is offline based on the traffic log analysis. The method further includes sending an alert to a user device indicating that the network device is offline.
