A display device includes a display panel including a display area and a non-display area adjacent to the display area, a bottom member including a bottom part facing the display area, a side part extending from the bottom part toward the display panel, and a support part extending from the side part to face a portion of the display area and the non-display area, a plurality of light sources on the bottom part to emit light, and a light guide member between the support part of the bottom member and the display panel to guide the light incident from the plurality of light sources toward the display panel.

Display device

A display apparatus includes a display panel which receives light to display an image. A light guide plate guides the light toward the display panel. A light source unit is disposed at a first side of the light guide plate to provide the light to the light guide plate. The light source unit includes a printed circuit board which includes a first area and a second area. A first light source is disposed on the first area and generates the light. A first stepped part is disposed on the second area and faces the first light source. A first adhesive part is disposed on the second area. The first stepped part reflects the light which is generated from the first light source toward the light guide plate, and the first adhesive part attaches the printed circuit board to the light guide plate.

Backlight unit and a display apparatus including the same

A display device includes a first display panel, a second display panel disposed to be spaced apart from the first display panel, a first light guide plate which is under the first display panel and provides light thereto, a second light guide plate which is under the second display panel and provides light thereto, a light source unit which is commonly disposed under the first and second light guide plates and generates and provides the light to the first and second light guide plates, and a reflective member which is disposed on the light source unit and is commonly disposed on the first and second light guide plates, the reflective member defining a first curved surface which reflects the light to the first light guide plate and a second curved surface which reflects the light to the second light guide plate.

Backlight unit and display device having the same

The light guide plate includes: a light source unit for generating light; a light guide plate proximate to the light source unit and including an upper surface and a lower surface; and a light emission pattern configured to diffuse a portion of the light directed toward an image display panel, and a first straight pattern configured to channel the light along a direction substantially parallel to a direction of propagation of the light generated by the light source unit, both the light emission pattern and the first straight pattern being disposed on one of the upper surface and the lower surface of the light guide plate, in which the first straight pattern has peaks and valleys formed in alternating and repeating manner in a direction substantially perpendicular to a direction of propagation of the light generated by the light source unit.

Light guide plate for backlight and manufacturing method therefor

Provided are a digital phase-locked loop (DPLL) having improved signal characteristics, and a method of operating the DPLL. The DPLL includes a first tracking unit configured to receive a reference signal and a feedback signal that is generated by feeding back an output signal of the DPLL, track the feedback signal, and output a delayed reference signal, and a second tracking unit configured to receive a delayed feedback signal generated by delaying the feedback signal, and the delayed reference signal, and generate an output signal of the DPLL, of which a frequency is controlled according to a phase difference between the delayed feedback signal and the delayed reference signal.

Digital phase-locked loop and method of operating the same

A display apparatus with at least two light guide plates, each including a light incident surface and a light exiting surface, the light guide plates being spaced apart from each other so as to form a gap therebetween. The display apparatus also has a light source disposed adjacent to at least one side portion of the light guide plates to emit light to the light incident surface, a display panel positioned to receive light from the light exiting surfaces to facilitate display of an image, and a diffusion member. The diffusion member covers the gap, so as to diffuse light directed toward the display panel.

Backlight assembly and display apparatus having the same

A display apparatus includes a backlight assembly which provides a light and a display panel which receives the light provided from the backlight assembly to display an image. The backlight assembly includes a light source which generates the light, and a light guide plate. The light guide plate receives the light generated from the light source through an incident surface thereof as an incident light, and outputs the incident light through an exit surface thereof as an exit light. The light guide plate includes a first optical pattern and a second optical pattern. The first optical pattern is disposed corresponding to a first area of the exit surface and collects the incident light. The second optical pattern is disposed corresponding to a remaining second area of the exit surface excluding the first area, and collects the exit light.

Display apparatus

An optical plate and a tiled display apparatus having the optical plate of the present invention include a base substrate and a Fresnel lens having a plurality of Fresnel patterns protruding toward the base substrate from a flat upper surface. The optical plate further comprises an anti-reflection layer, and a high-refraction layer having a refractive index higher than that of the anti-reflection layer. The optical plate comprises an adhesive layer disposed between the Fresnel lens and the base substrate to affix the Fresnel lens to the base substrate, and a spacer disposed between the Fresnel lens and the adhesive layer to maintain a distance between the Fresnel lens and the adhesive layer. The base substrate includes a first portion having a first thickness, a second portion having a second thickness thinner than the first thickness and a connecting portion disposed between the first and second portions.

Optical plate and tiled display apparatus having the same

A light-emitting assembly includes a light guide plate (LGP), a first infrared light-emitting part, a second infrared light-emitting part and a visible light-emitting part. The LGP has printed circuit patterns formed on a lower surface thereof. The first infrared light-emitting part includes a plurality of first infrared light-emitting diodes (LEDs) disposed at a first side of the LGP and spaced apart by intervals having different sizes. The second infrared light-emitting part includes a plurality of second infrared LEDs disposed at a second side of the LGP and spaced apart by intervals having different sizes. The visible light-emitting part includes a plurality of visible LEDs disposed at a third side of the LGP and spaced apart by intervals having different sizes, so that infrared light and visible light that is emitted from the two different kinds of light sources may be uniformly provided to a touch screen panel.

Light-emitting assembly and interactive display device having the same

A backlight assembly includes a light guide plate having at least five sides. There is a first side. A second side is parallel to and equal in length to the first side. A third side is perpendicular to the first and second sides. A fourth side is parallel to and shorter in length than the third side. There is at least one oblique side connecting the fourth side to the first or second side. The backlight assembly additionally includes a light source unit disposed the fourth side and the oblique side of the light guide plate.

Backlight assembly with uniform light distribution

A light module for a backlight assembly that prevents metal wiring from being damaged at a bent portion and a backlight assembly including the same are presented. The light module for the backlight assembly includes: a printed circuit board (PCB) including a first portion and a second portion connected by a connection having a bend; a first light source formed on the first portion of the printed circuit board (PCB); a second light source formed on the second portion of the printed circuit board (PCB); a first wiring connecting member connected to the first light source and formed on the first portion; and a second wiring connecting member connected to the second light source and formed on the second portion, wherein the first wiring connecting member and the second wiring connecting member are connected to each other.
