The present invention relates to a composition for treating atopic dermatitis comprising hirsutenone as an active ingredient. Hirsutenone as the active ingredient of the present composition decreases the number of eosinophil and the level of IgE increased in atopic dermatitis and remarkably reduces expression amounts of immune regulatory cytokine (e.g., IL-4, IL-5 and IL-13) associated with atopic dermatitis.
