A method includes a step of identifying a subject in need of diet modification; and administering a first diet to the subject for a first time period. The first diet provides 4.5 to 7 kilocalories per pound of subject for a first day and 3 to 5 kilocalories per pound of subject per day for a second to fifth day of the first diet. The first diet includes less than 30 g of sugar on the first day; less than 20 g of sugar on the second to fifth days; less than 28 g of proteins on the first day; less than 18 g of proteins on days the second to fifth days; 20 to 30 grams of monounsaturated fats on the first day; 10 to 15 grams of monounsaturated fats on the second to fifth days; and between 6 and 10 grams of polyunsaturated fats on the first day.

Methods and formulations promoting tissue/organ regeneration, longevity and healthspan

A method of treating Alzheimer's associated pathology includes a step of identifying subject having a pathology that is associated with Alzheimer's disease. A fasting mimicking diet (FMD) is then administered to the subject for a first time period. Methods for treating amyloid plaque formation and/or elevated levels of tau protein as well as neuroinflammation are also provided.

Fasting-mimicking diet (FMD) as an intervention for Alzheimer's disease (AD)

A method for treating autoimmune and/or inflammatory disease includes a step of identifying a subject exhibiting symptoms of autoimmune and/or inflammatory disease administering a fasting mimicking diet. A probiotic composition for gastrointestinal autoimmune and/or inflammatory disease, and combinations thereof is also provided.

Fasting-mimicking diet (FMD) but not water-only fasting promotes reversal of inflammation and IBD pathology

A medication infusion device includes a pre-filled medication container containing sterile liquid medication. The medication infusion device also includes an infusion needle and the infusion needle has a distal end, wherein the distal end of the infusion needle is movable relative to the pre-filled medication container. There is a pierceable elastomeric component arranged at the distal end of the infusion needle to define a sterile environment, and this sterile environment is shared by the pre-filled medication container and the distal end of the infusion needle. The distal end of the infusion needle is embedded in a pierceable elastomeric component in order to keep the infusion needle enclosed in the sterile environment and prevent medication from flowing out of the infusion needle.

Medication infusion device

A drug delivery device comprises a medication container containing medication for delivery and a detachable unit having an electronic circuit with a microprocessor. The electronic circuit is open and non-operational when the detachable component is assembled on the drug delivery device; and the electronic circuit is closed and operational when the detachable component is detached from the drug delivery device. The detachment of the detachable unit is an essential step to operate the drug delivery device. The detachable unit can be an activation protection cap or a needle shield remover for an autoinjector device. Alternatively, the detachable unit can be a needle shield remover for a pre-filled syringe.

Drug delivery device

An injection device is provided herein comprising a container body for holding medication content having a distal end and a proximal end, the container body providing an outward flange at the distal end and a ledge at the proximal end; a piston placed at the proximal end of the container body for sealing and displacing medication content; a push rod placed inside the container body for moving the piston distally; and a connector providing an orifice for medication content delivery, placed at said distal end of said container body. The orifice in the connector provides medication content injection fluid pathway. With modification of the fundamental structure, a number of innovative device designs are created.

Medication injection device

A fasting mimicking diet package providing daily meal portions for a predetermined number of days is provided. The fasting mimicking diet package includes a kale cracker composition, a first vegetable broth composition, a mushroom soup composition, a tomato soup composition, a quinoa-containing minestrone soup composition, a bean-containing minestrone soup composition, and a pumpkin soup composition. Characteristically, the daily meal portions are packaged into meal servings or into a total daily serving to be divided into meals.

Fasting mimicking diet

A medication infusion device includes a medication container containing liquid medication; an infusion needle; and a reciprocating pump having a pump chamber. The liquid medication is withdrawn from the medication container into the pump chamber during suction operation of the reciprocating pump, and the liquid medication is dispensed out of the pump chamber through the infusion needle during dispensing operation of the reciprocating pump. There are also mechanisms preventing liquid from flowing through the infusion needle during suction operation of the reciprocating pump and preventing liquid from flowing back into the medication container during dispensing operation of the reciprocating pump. The medication infusion device may further include a microcontroller to control medication infusion volume and rate.

A medication injection device comprising a medication container to contain medication; a connector provided with a blocking feature; a push rod having a plurality of teeth disposed along the length, and a spring biasing against the push rod to move proximally. The spring can be compression spring, extension spring, torsion spring, or constant force spring. By enabling or disabling engagement between the blocking feature on the connector and the tooth on the push rod, the push rod is either prevented from moving distally or allowed to move distally. The medication is drawn into the medication container when the push rod moves proximally and the medication is dispensed out of the medication container when the push rod moves distally.

Automatic injection device with variable dosing

A drug delivery device includes a housing component having an interior space and an exterior surface, an injection needle having a retracted state wherein the needle is hosted inside of the interior space and a deployed state wherein a pointed end of the needle projects beyond the exterior surface of the housing component, a needle drive mechanism coupled to the needle to move the needle between the retracted and deployed states, and a drug container disposed within the interior space. The drug container is pre-filled with sterile liquid drug and to be in fluid communication with the needle. The sterile liquid drug herein might be solution, suspension, emulation or other forms in fluid state. The drug delivery device also includes a microcontroller coupled to the needle drive mechanism. The microcontroller is configured to control the needle drive mechanism to move the needle between the retracted state and the deployed state. Further, the delivery device is wearable, disposable, and single-use.

Wearable drug delivery device

Methods for lowering hypertension, elevated total cholesterol, elevated glucose and insulin, elevated IGF-1, elevated triglyceride levels, and/or elevated CRP levels, and elevated liver fat without negatively affecting or lowering the levels of these markers/factors in subjects with already low levels of these markers are provided. A method for elevating stem cells and regeneration and anti-inflammatory agents is also provided. Finally, a method for treating metabolic syndrome is also provided. A hypocaloric or calorie free diet or a fasting mimicking diet is administered for a first time period to the subject to reduce blood pressure or the levels of the above markers/risk factors for aging and age-related diseases.

Fasting mimicking and enhancing diet for treating hypertension and lipid disorders

An automatic injection device is provided herein comprising a container body having a distal end and a proximal end; a piston locked at said proximal end of said container body before medication injection; a spring configured to bias said piston distally; a releasable restraining means configured to releasably restrain said piston in a locked state against said biasing of said spring, wherein, upon release of said releasable restraining means, said piston moves under force of said spring toward said distal end of said container body; an activation means configured to release said releasable means; a needle cap placed at said distal end of said container body; and a needle placed at said distal end of said container body.

Automatic medication injection device

A pre-filled syringe for sterile medication fluid injection includes a syringe barrel with rotationally symmetric cylindrical bore, having a distal end and a proximal end; a syringe piston with rotationally symmetric external shape; a backstop mounted at the proximal end of the syringe barrel with an opening that is rotationally asymmetric about the axis through the syringe barrel; a push rod to move the syringe piston inside the syringe barrel, wherein at least one portion of the push rod is rotationally asymmetric about the axis through the syringe barrel, and upon rotation, the rotationally asymmetric portion of the push rod is aligned with the rotationally asymmetric opening of the backstop; and a seal component to cover the distal end of the syringe barrel.

Syringe type medication delivery device

The method set out herein involves conducting adaptive clinical trial to develop parenteral therapeutic product with variable dose drug delivery devices. The method comprises using a variable dose drug delivery device to respond modifications during the adaptive clinical trial, wherein the variable dose drug delivery device is able to deliver more than one dose level and is for delivering fluid formulation. Other methods set out herein involve using a variable dose drug delivery device equipped with radio frequency identification (RFID) or near field communication (NFC) technology to improve patient adherence to drug administration in the adaptive clinical trial.
