The server apparatus comprises: a communication unit for receiving, from an external server, multiple first viewing log data for each of a plurality of first users using a first broadcast receiving apparatus and multiple user information of each of the plurality of first users; and a processor for updating a predictive model for predicting, from the viewing log data, the number of users using the broadcast receiving apparatus and user information of each of the users, on the basis of the received multiple first viewing log data and the received multiple user information, wherein, when second viewing log data is received from a second broadcast receiving apparatus through the communication unit, the processor predicts, using the updated predictive model, the number of users using the second broadcast receiving apparatus and user information of each of the users.

Server apparatus and method for controlling same

A method and apparatus of presenting a collection of images in the form of a collage is provided. The method dynamically visualizes the collection of images in the form of a collage. The method includes receiving the image from the collection of the images; adjusting parameters of dynamic visualization; analyzing distribution of colors in local areas of the images and the collage; modifying the image by adding the decorative elements of which the appearance depends on the distribution of colors in the local areas of the images and the local areas of the collage; modifying the collage by changing an appearance of decorative elements in the image; determining a position of the modified image on the modified collage; and generating a sequence of frames showing an occurrence of the modified image in the collage.

Method and apparatus for dynamically visualizing a collection of images in the form of a collage

A video playing apparatus includes a receiver which receives a video signal comprising a plurality of video frames and having no index information about location and time of the plurality of video frames; a user input unit which receives a target time for searching in the received video signal; a signal processor which processes and outputs a video signal corresponding to the target time; and a controller which calculates an average value of ratios of location change to time change by interpreting time and location of the plurality of video frames processed until receiving the target time among the plurality of video frames, when receiving the predetermined target time through the user input unit, and controls the signal processor to process and output the video signal of location corresponding to the target time on the basis of the calculated average value.

Video playing apparatus and location search method thereof

Provided are a real time reproduction method of a file being received according to a non real time transfer protocol and a video apparatus thereof. The video apparatus includes a communication module which is connected to an external device to communicate with the external device; a buffer which stores data received through the communication module; a decoder which decodes input data; a controller which stores data constituting a file received from the external device in the buffer via the communication module according to a non real time transfer protocol, and inputs a part of the data stored in the buffer to the decoder before all of data constituting the file is completely received; and an output unit which reproduces data decoded at the decoder in a real time.
