Provided are a hot-dip zinc plated steel material and a method for preparing same, the hot-dip zinc plated steel material comprising: base iron comprising 0.01-1.6 wt % of Si and 1.2-3.1 wt % of Mn; a Zn&#x2014;Al&#x2014;Mg alloy plating layer; and an Al-rich layer formed on the interface of the base iron and Zn&#x2014;Al&#x2014;Mg alloy plating layer, wherein the rate of occupied surface area of the Al-rich layer is 70% or higher (including 100%).

Zn alloy plated steel material having excellent weldability and processed-part corrosion resistance and a method for production of Zn alloy plated steel material are provided. In the Zn alloy plated steel material comprising base steel material and a Zn alloy plating layer, the Zn alloy plating layer includes, by wt %, Al: 0.1-5.0%, Mg: 0.1-5.0%, as well as a remainder of Zn and inevitable impurities. The Zn alloy plated steel material includes a lower interface layer and an upper interface layer between the base steel material and the Zn alloy plating layer, wherein the lower interface layer is formed on the base steel material and has a dense structure, and the upper interface layer is formed on the lower interface layer and has a network-type or island-type structure.

A plated steel material includes a plated layer containing, by wt %: 0.5 to 14% of Al, 0.5 to 5% of Mg, and the balance being Zn and inevitable impurities. In the Zn alloy plated steel sheet including a base steel sheet and a Zn alloy plating layer, the Zn alloy plating layer includes, by wt %, Al: 0.5-2.8%, Mg: 0.5-2.8%, and a remainder of Zn and inevitable impurities, and a cross-sectional structure of the Zn alloy plating layer includes, by area percentage, more than 50% of a Zn single phase structure and less than 50% of a Zn&#x2014;Al&#x2014;Mg-based intermetallic compound. A surface structure of the Zn alloy plating layer includes, by area percentage, 40% or less of a Zn single phase structure and 60% or more of a Zn&#x2014;Al&#x2014;Mg-based intermetallic compound.

Provided is a hot dip zinc alloy plated steel sheet which is widely used in vehicles, domestic appliances, construction materials or the like and a method for manufacturing the same. A Zn&#x2014;Al&#x2014;Mg hot dip zinc alloy plating bath is used for manufacturing the hot dip zinc alloy plated steel strip, and a small amount of Ga or In is added to the plating bath for inhibiting an oxidation reaction of Mg in the plating bath so as to obtain excellent corrosion resistance and external surface of the plated steel sheet which is manufactured at this point.

Provided is a hot dip zinc (Zn) alloy plated steel sheet having excellent corrosion resistance and surface qualities, and a method of manufacturing the same. For this purpose, provided is a high corrosion resistant hot dip Zn alloy plated steel sheet which includes an underlying steel sheet and a hot dip Zn alloy plating layer, wherein a composition of the hot dip Zn alloy plating layer includes 1 to 3 wt % of aluminum (Al), 1.5 to 4.0 wt % of magnesium (Mg), and Zn and unavoidable impurities as a remainder, in which Al+Mg is in a range of 2.5 to 7.0 wt % and Al: (Al+Mg) ratio is in a range of 0.38 to 0.48, and a method of manufacturing the high corrosion resistant hot dip Zn alloy plated steel sheet.
