A display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, a data driver configured to apply a plurality of data voltages generated based on input image data to the pixels, an initialization voltage generator configured to generate an initialization voltage that initializes a light emitting element included in each of the pixels, a timing controller configured to generate a constant current control signal based on a load of the input image data, and a constant current generator configured to generate and transmit a constant current to the initialization voltage generator in response to the constant current control signal. As a result, the display device may reduce ripple of an initialization voltage by adjusting the initialization voltage according to a load of input image data, and a display device having a desirable signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) characteristic of a sensing operation may be provided.

Display device and method of driving the same

A display device including: a display panel; a current compensation circuit executing a current compensation operation in which a load is calculated based on input image data, and output compensation image data is generated by compensating for the input image data based on the load; a data driver converting the compensation image data into a data voltage based on a gamma reference voltage and a data driving voltage, and outputting the data voltage; a current sensing circuit sensing a driving current of the display panel and comparing the driving current with a preset reference current to output a protection signal; a voltage generator generating a driving voltage, the gamma reference voltage, and the data driving voltage; and a voltage control circuit generating a first voltage control signal to control a first target compensation value of the gamma reference voltage or the data driving voltage in response to the protection signal.

Display device with overcurrent protection function

A display device includes a display panel, a data driver which transmits a data voltage to the display panel, a first flexible printed circuit board attached to the display panel and including an input side wiring electrically connected to the data driver, a first printed circuit board (PCB) electrically connected to the input side wiring to transmit a high-speed driving signal to the data driver, and a metal tape overlapping the input side wiring in a plan view and attached on the first flexible printed circuit board, where a part of the metal tape overlapping the input side wiring in the plan view defines an opening.

A curved display module includes a curved display panel curved with a first curvature in a first direction. A plurality of flexible circuit films are connected to a side portion of the curved display panel. A plurality of driving chips are each mounted on the flexible circuit films. A printed circuit board is connected to the flexible circuit films and is curved with a second curvature in the first direction. Two sides parallel to each other of each of the flexible circuit films are in direct contact with the curved display panel at first and second contact points, respectively, and are in direct contact with the printed circuit board at third and fourth contact points, respectively. A distance between the first and third contact points is different from a distance between the second and fourth contact points.

A display apparatus includes a display panel, a gate driver and a data driver. The display panel displays an image. The gate driver outputs gate signals to the display panel. A display apparatus includes a gate driving control circuit, a gate driver and a display panel. The gate driving control circuit generates N gate clock signals and N inversion gate clock signals based on N gate clock control signals, phases of which partially overlap with each other. Each inversion gate clock signals has an opposite phase to a respective gate clock signal. The gate driver generates gate signals based on the N gate clock signals or the N inversion gate clock signals and applies the gate signals to gate lines. The display panel includes pixels, each connected to a respective gate line and a respective data line. Each of the pixels has a longer side in parallel with gate lines and a shorter side in parallel with the data lines. A number of the gate clock control signals is an integer multiple of a number of colors of the pixels.

A display device includes a display panel, and a power management circuit including a switching regulator for supplying a power in a discontinuous conduction mode or in a continuous conduction mode, and a sensing circuit for sensing whether the switching regulator is operated in the discontinuous conduction mode, the switching regulator including a comparator for monitoring the supplied power, and an RS latch for receiving an output signal from the comparator, and the sensing circuit including a phase lock loop circuit for generating a first clock signal, a phase delay circuit for generating a second clock signal having a phase delayed from the first, and a determination circuit for outputting a first value when a pulse width of the output signal from the RS latch is small, and for outputting a second value when the pulse width of the output signal from the RS latch is not small.

Power management circuit and display device having the same

A display apparatus includes a housing having a pillar shape, a plurality of monitors, and a driving unit received in the housing and providing driving signals to the plurality of monitors. Each of the plurality of monitors displays an image through its front surface and back surface and includes side surfaces connecting the front surface and the back surface. One side surface of the side surfaces of each of the plurality of monitors is coupled to the housing. A thickness of each of the plurality of monitors decreases as a distance from the housing increases.
