A display device and a driving method thereof are provided. The display device includes a display panel that includes a first display area in which a plurality of first pixels are disposed and a second display area in which a plurality of second pixels are disposed; and at least one sensor overlapping the second display area and not overlapping the first display area of the display panel, wherein the plurality of first pixels and the plurality of second pixels are connected to a scan line providing a scan signal and a data line providing a data signal, and wherein the plurality of first pixels are not connected to a sensing control line providing a sensing control signal that senses an anode voltage of a light emitting element.

Display device and operating method therefor

A display device including pixels connected to a data line and a sensing line; a data driver supplying one of an image data signal and a sensing data signal to the data line; a sensing unit supplying an initialization voltage to at least one of the pixels through the sensing line and obtaining a sensing current value from at least one of the pixels through the sensing line; and a compensator generating compensation image data according to a sensing pixel current value among the sensing current value using an artificial neural network model learned to output reference image data corresponding to at least one reference sensing current value among the sensing current value.

Display device and driving method thereof

A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes a pixel including a first pixel transistor of which a gate electrode is connected to a first node, a back-gate electrode is connected to a back-gate line, a first electrode is connected to a second node, and a second electrode is connected to a third node, a back-gate voltage determiner for converging a variable back-gate voltage to a first level when the display device displays a moving image, and for converging the variable back-gate voltage to a second level when the display device displays a still image, and a back-gate stage for applying the variable back-gate voltage to the back-gate line.

A display device includes pixels each having: a first transistor having a first electrode, second electrode, and gate electrode; a second transistor having a first electrode connected to a data line, a second electrode connected to the first electrode of the first transistor, and a gate electrode connected to a first scan line; a third transistor having a first electrode connected to the second electrode of the first transistor, a second electrode connected to the gate electrode of the first transistor, and a gate electrode connected to the first scan line; and a fourth transistor having a first electrode connected to the gate electrode of the first transistor, a second electrode connected to an initialization voltage line, and a gate electrode connected to a second scan line. A first scan signal is applied in each frame period of a first driving mode and a second driving mode.

A display device includes: a pixel unit including pixels, each including an OLED; a scan driver configured to supply scan signals to scan lines connected to the pixels; a data driver configured to supply data signals to data lines connected to the pixels; a control line driver configured to supply control signals to control lines connected to the pixels; a sensing unit configured to receive sensing voltages from the data lines during a sensing period; a switching unit configured to selectively connect the data lines to the data driver and to the sensing unit, and to perform current sensing of the OLEDs of the pixels to which the control signals are supplied from among the plurality of pixels; and a timing controller configured to control the control line driver to supply the control signals to one or more of the control lines according to externally input first data.

Display device having a sensing unit for compensating for deterioration of pixels

An organic light emitting display device includes: a display panel including a plurality of sub-pixels, each of the sub-pixels including an organic light emitting device to be light-emitted by a data current based on a data voltage; a memory to store accumulated data to be displayed on each of the sub-pixels; a deterioration compensator including: a compensation scheme determiner; a compensation amount calculator; and a modulation data generation generator; a timing controller to arrange the modulation data of each of the sub-pixels as pixel data according to a pixel arrangement structure of the display panel; and a data driver to convert the pixel data into the data voltage.
