Disclosed are methods and devices for facilitating the seamless handover of Bluetooth communications of a Bluetooth accessory device from a first Bluetooth host to a second Bluetooth host. A first host identifier uniquely identifies the first Bluetooth host for its Bluetooth communications, and a second host identifier uniquely identifies the second Bluetooth host for its Bluetooth communications. The host identifiers are stored in the Bluetooth accessory device, and they are provided to an application on the mobile device that allows a user to select either the first or the second host as the selected host for the Bluetooth accessory device, without having to re-pair the host device to the accessory device. Because re-pairing is not necessary, the user can quickly and seamlessly switch the Bluetooth accessory's communications among multiple different host devices.

Seamless bluetooth switching system

A method, a computer readable medium, and an apparatus for providing haptic feedback through a plurality of haptic devices are provided. The apparatus may receive a multi-channel audio stream. The apparatus may split the multi-channel audio stream into a plurality of audio channels. For each haptic signal of a plurality of haptic signals, the apparatus may generate the haptic signal based on one or more audio channels of the plurality of audio channels. For each haptic signal of the plurality of haptic signals, the apparatus may transmit the haptic signal to a corresponding haptic device of the plurality of haptic devices to produce the haptic feedback.

Haptic ecosystem

A headset may include a headband; first and second earcups respectively attached to first and second ends of the headband; a first light display unit; a headset receiver configured to receive data from a processor-based device; and a headset control unit. Each of the first and second earcups may include an interior surface and an exterior surface, where the interior surfaces of the first and second earcups may face each other and the exterior surfaces of the first and second earcups may face away from each other. The first light display unit may include a matrix of independently controllable light emitting elements arranged along a boundary of the exterior surface of the first earcup. The headset control unit may be configured to control the light emitting elements of the first light display unit based on the data received by the headset receiver.

Most computer operating systems are able to automatically configure the coupled computer peripheral device for use with the computer operating system without the need for installation of a specific driver. However, when these peripheral devices are detected by the computer system, a generic UI control configuration is often assigned to them and whatever customised settings previously configured by the user will be lost and replaced with a new set of unfamiliar settings. The present technology is a collaboration management system initiating a collaboration session for a plurality of computing systems having user-interfaces (UIs) coupled thereto. The collaboration management system discovers the device profiles corresponding to the UIs for extracting corresponding configuration specific to each of the UIs for configuring interactions between the UIs and an application operating during the collaboration session.

A mouse for communication with a processor-based device. The mouse may include a housing having a base surface. The base surface may be configured to face a tracking surface on which the mouse may be placed on. The mouse may further include a plurality of mouse foot protrusions projecting from the base surface. A distal end of at least one of the plurality of mouse foot protrusions may be configured to contact the tracking surface on which the mouse may be placed on and the distal end may include a first color. An intermediate portion of the at least one of the plurality of mouse foot protrusions between the distal end of the at least one of the plurality of mouse foot protrusions and the base surface may include a second color, which may be different from the first color.

A device having a memory configured to store information indicating debounce times for the device's switches and having circuits configured to determine whether the switches are depressed and closed based on the debounce times. The debounce times are updated based on the age of the device and/or switch usage. The method for debouncing may be performed by a computer having computer-readable media directed to adjusting the debounce times based on the age of the device containing the switches.

Described according to an embodiment of the invention is a headset device and a device profile management method, operating on a computing cloud, comprising steps for receiving client data provided by a computing system detecting coupling of an audio device thereto and for retrieving configuration data corresponding to the client data for use in configuring the audio device by the computing system.

According to various embodiments, an energy monitoring method may be provided. The energy monitoring method may include: determining internal energy information indicating a charge state of an internal battery of a computing device; wirelessly receiving external energy information indicating a charge state of an external battery for the computing device; determining a combined energy information indicating a combined charge state of the internal battery and external battery based on the internal energy information and based on the external energy information; and providing a notification to a user of the computing device based on the combined energy information.
