A surgical navigation system according to one embodiment may comprise: an electromagnetic wave generation unit; a first detection unit attached to a surgical site of an object to detect a position attached to the surgical site; a second detection unit installed in a patient-specific surgical guide instrument inserted into the surgical site to receive the electromagnetic wave and detect the position of the patient-specific surgical guide instrument; a third detection unit installed in the surgical instrument inserted into the surgical site to detect the position of the surgical instrument; an information processing unit for registering the position of the first detection unit and the position of the third detection unit and for tracking the position of the surgical instrument on the basis of the position of the first detection unit attached to the surgical site, by setting the position of the patient-specific surgical guide instrument as a reference position when the patient-specific surgical guide instrument is inserted into the surgical site; and a display unit for displaying information including the positions of the object and the patient-specific surgical guide instrument and the position of the surgical instrument.

Surgical navigation system

A smart screw according to an embodiment may comprise: a screw main body which penetrates an artificial joint including a shell disposed on a hip joint of an object and a liner disposed on the inner surface of the shell and is then inserted into the hip joint; a transducer including a coupling layer that senses a sound wave signal reflected from the liner, a piezo-electric layer formed to determine a frequency of the sound wave signal, and a sound absorbing layer for absorbing the sound wave signal; and a processing module for generating a sound wave signal toward the liner and receiving the sound wave signal sensed by the coupling layer, measuring the thickness of the liner on the basis of the received sound wave signal, and transferring data about the measured thickness of the liner to the outside.

Disclosed is a position indicating apparatus including a main body, a first arm connected to one side of the main body based on a symmetric axis of the main body, a second arm connected to another side of the main body based on the symmetric axis, a first light radiator connected to one end of the first arm to radiate a light, and a second light radiator connected to one end of the second arm to radiate a light, wherein the light radiated from the first light radiator and the light radiated from the second light radiator meet and form an intersection of line.

Position indicating apparatus and bone fixation apparatus including the same

A temperature-adaptive capacitor array used in a TCXO so that the TCXO effectively conducts temperature-compensating in the resonant frequency without the non-monotonicity while a smaller silicon area is used in producing the capacitor array. A number of capacitor arrays allocated in two capacitor banks. Each of the capacitor arrays comprises two or more unit cells, and in turn each unit cell consists of a unit capacitor and a switching element, respectively. All of unit capacitors included in the capacitor arrays are connected each other through a decoder assembly to provide a crystal oscillator with a load capacitance. The unit capacitors belonging to one of the capacitor arrays have the same capacitance with each other. Two unit capacitors belonging to different capacitor arrays, however, have different capacitances from each other. The capacitance of the unit capacitors belonging to each capacitor array is set in consideration of control preciseness required in compensating a frequency deviation in the resonant frequency of the crystal oscillator as the temperature varies in at least a portion of a practical temperature range, within which the crystal oscillator operates.
