A display device includes an image receiving unit, a power-saving control device, a display control unit, and a backlight module control unit. The power-saving control device judges whether or not received frames are still for a predetermined time. If the power-saving control device judges that the received frames are still for the predetermined time, the power-saving control device outputs a first control signal to the display control unit for controlling the display panel to perform power saving to reduce its power consumption while continuing displaying frames, and the backlight module control unit controls the backlight module to continue providing the backlight; while if the received frames are not still or are still for a time shorter than the predetermined time, the power-saving control device does not output the first control signal to the display control unit for controlling the display panel to perform power saving to reduce its power consumption.

Display device and display system with power-saving mechanism

A signal transmitter of the invention is coupled to a plurality of signal receivers by a bus, and is configured to transmit display data through the bus for displaying a line. The signal transmitter includes a first data sequence and a second data sequence. The first data sequence has an electronic characteristic of a first value and is transmitted to a first signal receiver of the signal receivers, and the second data sequence has the electronic characteristic of a second value and is transmitted to a second signal receiver of the signal receivers. Wherein, a first signal transmission path from the signal transmitter to the first signal receiver is shorter than a second signal transmission path from the signal transmitter to the second signal receiver, and the first value is larger than the second value.

A power-saving mechanism of display and a control method using the same are disclosed. The mechanism has no need as the prior art where a user's setting is needed to decide whether or not entering a power-saving operation mode or shutting off the display. The display power-saving mechanism of the present invention can judge whether or not the display frames are still; if the frames are still in a certain time, the display automatically enters the power-saving operation mode. The display power-saving mechanism is disposed in the hardware architecture of the display and capable of automatically judging whether or not to enter the power-saving operation mode without the user's setting.

Power-saving mechanism of display and control method using the same

A display device including a timing controller, a data driving circuit and a display system is provided. The timing controller outputs first pixel data according to input pixel data, wherein a color depth of the first pixel data is a first bit number or a second bit number smaller than the first bit number. The data driving circuit receives the first pixel data and a notice signal, and maps the first pixel data to generate second pixel data according to the notice signal when the color depth of the first pixel data is the second bit number, and directly takes the first pixel data as the second pixel data when the color depth of the first pixel data is the first bit number, and generates at least one driving voltage according to the second pixel data, wherein the color depth of the second pixel data is the first bit number.

An image processing method for a display device, for enhancing image quality, includes receiving video signals, sequentially generating a plurality of image data according to the video signals, and sequentially displaying the plurality of image data on a panel of the display device. Each of the plurality of image data includes a frame data and a low-gray-level frame data respectively corresponding to a frame output duration and a vertical blanking duration in a timing sequence of the video signals.

Image processing method and related apparatus for a display device

A method for memory page management, suitable for managing data stored in several memory blocks is disclosed, which includes the following steps. First, multiple pages is recorded in a first register. When a request for reading data is received, whether the data is stored in those memory blocks is determined. If the data has already been stored in the memory blocks, the corresponding page is found out. Otherwise, the last page of the first register is taken as the page for storing the data and the data is accessed from an external storage device and then stored in the memory block corresponding to the page. Finally, the data read from the memory block corresponding to the page is output.
