Wireless communications systems and methods related to CSI feedback are provided. A user equipment (UE) receives an indication of a restricted set of frequency domain (FD) beamforming components and one or more channel state information reference signals (CSI-RSs). The UE may transmit channel state information (CSI) report indicating a plurality of precoding coefficients based on the received one or more CSI-RSs and the restricted set of FD beamforming components.

Indication of information in channel state information (CSI) reporting

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless device (e.g., a base station) may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), an indication of a field type of a field between the UE and the wireless device. The indication of the field type may include one or more bits indicating the field type, a measure indicating a likelihood that the field type includes a first field type as compared to a second field type, an indication that the first type is the same as a second field type configured at the UE, or any combination thereof. The UE may select between a first set of beam weight vectors and a second set of beam weight vectors based on the field type. A first wireless node may transmit, to a second wireless node, an indication of an orbital angular momentum (OAM) base value that is associated with one or more OAM modes. The OAM base value may correspond to a number of antenna elements of an antenna ring at the first wireless node, and for each of the one or more OAM modes. Based on the OAM base value, the first wireless node may communicate reference signaling according to the one or more OAM modes using the number of antenna elements of the antenna ring. The second wireless node may use a same number of antenna elements based on the indicated OAM base value.

Apparatus, methods, processing systems, and computer readable mediums for beam management in multi-TRP scenarios are disclosed. An exemplary method generally includes receiving a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) resource configuration from at least one base station (BS) for one or more transmission hypotheses, wherein the CSI-RS resource configuration includes CSI-RS resources corresponding to at least a first downlink (DL) demodulation reference signal (DMRS)-port-group and a second DL DMRS-port-group, performing one or more CSI-RS measurements for the one or more transmission hypotheses based, at least in part on the CSI-RS resource configuration, and determining, for each of the one or more transmission hypotheses, a preferred reception beam for communicating with the at least one BS based, at least in part, on the one or more CSI-RS measurements.

Beam management enhancements for multi-TRP scenarios

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. One method for providing a wake-up signal to user equipments (UEs) that support multiple multicast sessions may include a base station transmitting configuration information to a UE indicating a wake-up signal configuration for one or more multicast sessions. Accordingly, the UE may monitor the one or more multicast sessions for a wake-up signal and receive, prior to an active duration of a multicast session, a wake-up signal from the base station. The wake-up signal may include control signaling indicating to the UE which of a set of multicast sessions the UE is to monitor. The UE may determine which multicast sessions to monitor based on the received control signaling.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to a wireless user equipment (UE) configured to receive a downlink in a network configured for full duplex communication. The UE receives from the network an indication of a maximum rank of an uplink from an interfering, aggressor UE. The UE measures interference of a signal from the aggressor UE, and based on the measurement, determines one or more rank values for the aggressor UE, less than or equal to the maximum rank. The UE may further determine one or more channel parameters for downlink transmissions the UE receives, corresponding to the determined rank values. The UE then transmits a channel state information (CSI) report that includes an indication of at least one of the one or more rank values for the aggressor UE. The CSI report may further include the determined channel parameters. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.

In some aspects, a first wireless communication device may transmit, in a time-frequency resource occasion to a second wireless communication device, a first orbital angular momentum (OAM) signal in a first OAM mode. The first wireless communication device may receive, in the time-frequency resource occasion from the second wireless communication device, a second OAM signal, in a second OAM mode, that is orthogonal to the first OAM signal. Mode division duplex for orbital angular momentum communications

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, a base station may send, and a user equipment (UE) may receive, a transmission beam adjustment message indicating a change from a first time interval to a second time interval in which a transmission beam is utilized to transmit a synchronization signal and physical broadcasting channel block (SSB). The base station may send the transmission beam adjustment message to all connected UEs, individual UEs affected by the adjustment, or to one or more UE groups. The UE may receive the transmission beam adjustment message and determine a new time interval of the transmission beam pattern that the base station is using the transmission beam to transmit the SSB. The UE may monitor the new time interval for the SSB using a receive beam that corresponds to the transmission beam.

Spatial diversity in co-axial multi-circle orbital angular momentum multiplexing based communication

Disclosed are techniques related to wireless communication system to enable full duplex communication. A network node is configured to communicate with a parent node and a child node. The network node may include a transceiver, a memory, and a processor communicatively coupled to the transceiver and the memory. The transceiver, memory, and processor may be configured to determine uplink (UL) parent and child link priorities for parent and child time-domain resources that overlap in time at least partially. The transceiver, memory, and processor may also be configured to determine UL parent and child beams based on the UL parent and child link priorities. The transceiver, memory, and processor may further be configured to notify the parent node of the UL parent beam for the parent and child time-domain resources. The transceiver, memory, and processor may yet further be configured to concurrently transmit parent traffic to the parent node using the UL parent beam and receive child traffic from the child node using the UL child beam.

Uplink beam determination in wireless communication system with full-duplex

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a first sensing signal transmitted by a base station. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit a scheduling request to a base station using the dedicated uplink resources. The UE may transmit the scheduling request to indicate that a group of UEs requests uplink resources for an uplink data transmission. As a result, the UE may receive downlink control information from a base station which includes corresponding uplink resources allocated to the UE based on the scheduling request. The UE may use the allocated uplink resources to transmit uplink data to the base station.

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for precoder matrix quantization for compressed channel state information (CSI) feedback. A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE) includes receiving a CSI report configuration for frequency domain compressed precoder matrix feedback. The CSI report configuration configures the UE to report, for a plurality of selected beams at a plurality of time domain taps, a frequency domain compression basis vector and a plurality of linear combination coefficients associated with the frequency domain compression. For each of the beams, the UE groups the time domain taps into at least first and second groups. The groups each can have zero, one, or more than one time domain taps. The UE quantizes the corresponding linear combination coefficients and/or frequency domain compression basis vectors based on the grouping.

Precoder matrix quantization for compressed CSI feedback

Wireless communications systems and methods related to multi-transmission-reception point (multi-TRP) precoding matrix indication (PMI) operations are provided. A user equipment (UE) receives a configuration indicating a precoder size parameter for a plurality of transmission-reception points (TRPs). The UE receives, from a first TRP of the plurality of TRPs, a first reference signal. The UE receives, from a second TRP of the plurality of TRPs, a second reference signal, the second TRP being different from first TRP. The UE transmits, to the first TRP or the second TRP, a channel state information (CSI) report including a first feedback component based on the first reference signal and a second feedback component based on the second reference signal, where a combined payload size of the first feedback component and the second feedback component is based on the precoder size parameter.
