A display apparatus includes a backlight source, a privacy filter disposed on the backlight source, a light adjusting panel disposed on the privacy filter, and a display panel disposed on the light adjusting panel. The light adjusting panel includes a first substrate, a first electrode, a second electrode, a first vertical alignment film disposed on the first substrate, a second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate, a second vertical alignment film disposed on the second substrate, and a positive liquid crystal layer disposed between the first vertical alignment film and the second vertical alignment film. The first electrode and the second electrode are disposed on the first substrate. Here, the first electrode has a plurality of first slits, and a plurality of orthogonal projections of the first slits on the first substrate overlap an orthogonal projection of the second electrode on the first substrate.

Display apparatus

A display apparatus includes a backlight, a first polarizer, a light controlling panel, a second polarizer, a display panel, and a third polarizer sequentially arranged along a direction. A transmission axis of the first polarizer and a transmission axis of the second polarizer are substantially parallel, and the transmission axis of the second polarizer and a transmission axis of the third polarizer are substantially perpendicular. A set of the first polarizer, the light controlling panel, and the second polarizer has a transmittance, and the transmittance has a maximum value when the light controlling panel is not enabled.

A pixel structure includes a switch element on a substrate, a first electrode, and a second electrode. The first electrode includes first to third trunk portions and first to fourth branch portions. The third trunk portion is located between the first and second trunk portions. The first branch portions are connected to the first trunk portion. The second and third branch portions are connected to the third trunk portion. The fourth branch portions are connected to the second trunk portion. The second electrode includes fourth and fifth trunk portions and the fifth to eighth branch portions. The fourth trunk portion overlaps a gap between the first and second branch portions. The fifth trunk portion overlaps a gap between the third and fourth branch portions. The fifth and sixth branch portions are connected to the fourth trunk portion. The seventh and eighth branch portions are connected to the fifth trunk portion.

Pixel structure

A pixel structure including an active device, a first electrode and a second electrode is provided. The first electrode includes a main portion, first branch portions, a first auxiliary portion and a second auxiliary portion. The second electrode includes second branch portions and a peripheral portion. The main portion extends in a first direction. The first branch portions and the second branch portions cross with the main portion and are arranged alternately in the first direction. Each first branch portion has a first end and a second end located on two opposite sides of the main portion respectively. The first auxiliary portion is connected to the first ends of the first branch portions. The second auxiliary portion is connected to the second ends of the first branch portions. The first auxiliary portion and the second auxiliary portion of the first electrode overlap the peripheral portion of the second electrode.

A pixel structure and a driving method are provided. The pixel structure includes a scan line, a first data line, a second data line, a first switching element, a second switching element, a common electrode, a first electrode and a second electrode. The first switching element is electrically connected with the scan line, the first data line and the first electrode. The second switching element is electrically connected with the second data line and the second electrode. The common electrode includes two first body portions and at least two first branch portions. The first electrode includes a second body portion and at least two second branch portions. The second electrode includes at least two main portions and at least one bridge portion. The at least one bridge portion overlaps at least one of the first branch portions in a projection direction.

Pixel structure and driving method capable of switching display mode

A display panel including a dimming panel and a display panel is provided. The dimming panel includes a light-shielding structure. The display panel is disposed on the dimming panel and includes a repeat unit including a first pixel unit, a second pixel unit and a third pixel unit, wherein each of the first pixel unit, the second pixel unit and the third pixel unit includes a first color sub-pixel, a second color sub-pixel and a third color sub-pixel, wherein the arrangement of the first color sub-pixel, the second color sub-pixel and the third color sub-pixel in the first pixel unit, the arrangement of the first color sub-pixel, the second color sub-pixel and the third color sub-pixel in the second pixel unit and the arrangement of the first color sub-pixel, the second color sub-pixel and the third color sub-pixel in the third pixel unit are different from each other, and the total area shielded by the light-shielding structure of the first color sub-pixels in the repeat unit, the total area shielded by the light-shielding structure of the second color sub-pixels in the repeat unit and the total area shielded by the light-shielding structure of the third color sub-pixels in the repeat unit are equal.
