A multi-phase buck-boost converter circuit comprises a buck circuit stage, a boost circuit stage, and a control circuit. The buck circuit stage is connected to an input of the buck-boost converter circuit to receive an input voltage. The boost circuit stage includes multiple boost circuits connected in parallel. The boost circuit stage is coupled to the buck circuit stage and an output of the multi-phase buck-boost converter circuit. Each boost circuit includes an inductor coupled to the buck circuit stage. The control circuit operates the multiple boost circuit stages out of phase with respect to each other in a boost mode, operates the buck circuit stage in a buck mode, and operates the multiple boost circuit stages out of phase with respect to each other and operates the buck circuit stage in a buck-boost mode.

A UHV-LV interface circuit that is capable of the following, among other things: 1) starting up a primary controller of a power converter circuit with a precisely controlled startup charging profile; 2) performing pulse-based line-voltage sensing with reduced power and improved sensing accuracy; and 3) discharging a capacitor, e.g., class-X2 capacitor, with a stable supply voltage for the controller. The UHV-LV interface circuit can use a single UHV device, such as a single depletion-mode transistor, e.g., field-effect transistor (FET).

Controller circuitry can employ a method to provide control signals to bridge switches operating an inductor for switched-mode inductive buck-boost voltage regulation. The buck mode can operate the bridge switches in a buck current control mode when the input voltage exceeds the output voltage. The boost mode can operate the bridge switches in a boost current control mode when the output voltage exceeds the input voltage. The buck-boost transition mode can operate the bridge switches in a peak buck-boost current control mode that minimizes a minimum duty cycle (having a minimum 'on' duty time and a minimum 'off' duty time) when the output voltage is approximately equal to the input voltage during a transition from at least one of the current control buck mode to the current control boost mode or from the current control boost mode to the current control buck mode.

The Kappa converter circuit, as introduced herein, can be configured for step-down (buck), step-up (boost), or buck-boost operation. The Kappa converter circuit exhibits lower electromagnetic interference (EMI) relative to other buck, boost, or buck-boost topologies, such as without additional input or output filter circuits. The Kappa converter circuit can have high power handling capability and less DCR loss, for example due to a distribution of current signals through respective inductors. The Kappa converter circuit includes isolating inductors at its input and ground reference nodes to help reduce signal bounce or signal pulsations at supply and ground reference busses, thereby further reducing EMI noise due to switching in the circuit. When the Kappa converter is configured for step-up operation, the converter exhibits no right-half-plane (RHP) zero.

A peak-buck peak-boost current mode control structure and scheme for a synchronous four-switch and non-synchronous two-switch buck-boost regulators sense input and output voltages to smoothly transition between buck mode, buck-boost mode, and boost mode for high power efficiency and low output ripples. With the inductor current sensing, the control scheme achieves the best performance in continuous conduction and discontinuous condition mode operations.

A high-voltage level shifter circuit that is capable of level shifting a signal from a low-voltage rail to a high-voltage rail for effective gate driving of a top power switch, with a short propagation delay and a high common-mode transient immunity (CMTI). The high CMTI high-voltage level shifter circuit can include a differential input and isolation stage, a high dv/dt sensor and cancellation stage, at least one differential and common-mode gain stage, and an output buffer stage.

A computer-implemented method for enforcing dynamic network security policies may include (i) monitoring, by a network traffic protection system, network packets transmitted on a network segment, (ii) detecting, by the network traffic protection system, a suspicious transmission of at least one network packet associated with an endpoint computing device connected to the network segment, (iii) modifying, based on the suspicious transmission of the network packet, at least one network security policy for the network segment, and (iv) enforcing, by the network traffic protection system, the modified network security policy for all endpoint computing devices connected to the network segment. Systems and methods for enforcing dynamic network security policies

Techniques for multiple-phase, high-boost converters are provided. In an example, a multiple-phase switched-capacitor-inductor (MPSCI) boost converter can include a first phase circuit, a second phase circuit, and a capacitor. Each of the first phase circuit and the second phase circuit can include a first switch, an inductor having a first node coupled to a first supply rail, and a second switch configured to selectively couple a second node of the inductor to a second supply rail. The capacitor can be coupled between the second node of the inductor of the second phase circuit and the first switch of the second phase circuit.

In certain embodiments, a network edge device comprises a memory storage, a networking component configured to communicate with a mobile device and a database comprising application attributes, and a processor. A supply circuit comprises a regulated positive supply circuit and an unregulated negative supply circuit. The regulated positive supply circuit includes an inductor arranged to receive input energy from an input circuit node, a switch circuit coupled to the inductor at a switch circuit node, and a control circuit coupled to the switch circuit. The control circuit is configured to control activation of the switch circuit to regulate a voltage at a regulated circuit node and generate a positive output voltage at a positive output circuit node. In certain embodiments, a method comprises forming a cluster of peered network devices comprising a plurality of three or more peered network devices and a plurality of control information connections between pairs of the peered network devices. The method further comprises classifying a connection by associating the connection with an application, wherein a first peered network device associated with the cluster classifies the connection based at least in part on sequential payload packets associated with the connection, at least some of which the first device receives from other peered network devices associated with the cluster. The method also comprises sending control information over one of the control information connections between the first peered network device and a second peered network device associated with the cluster, wherein the control information comprises information regarding the classification of the connection.

In the example of a voltage regulator outputting a negative voltage, its feedback voltage will also be negative. The feedback voltage is typically created using a resistor divider. A controller IC is powered by only a positive voltage and receives the negative feedback voltage at a high impedance input of an inverting amplifier. Therefore, the inverting amplifier does not load the resistor divider, resulting in an accurate regulated output voltage. The inverting amplifier converts the negative feedback voltage to a positive feedback voltage for further processing by the controller IC. An error amplifier and a power good monitor receive both the original feedback voltage and the inverted feedback voltage and use whichever feedback voltage is the more positive one. Therefore, the controller IC may be used in voltage regulators that generate either negative or positive output voltages.
