Disclosed is a driver circuit structure integrated in a display panel. The driver circuit structure includes a plurality of transistors and a backup transistor. After completing the driver circuit structure, the disclosure inspects it to find an inactive transistor. The inspection process first, isolates the electrical connection between the inactive transistor and the first electrode line and/or the electrical connection between the inactive transistor and the second electrode line. Next, the source electrode of the backup transistor and the first electrode line and/or electrically connecting the drain electrode of the backup transistor and the second electrode line are electrical connected.

Method for repairing driver circuit structure

A display includes a backlight source, display panel, first light source, and controller. The display panel includes a sensor array for sensing first reflection light generated from an object reflecting first detection light. The first detection light is generated by the backlight source for locating a coordinate of a projection point of the object on the display panel. The first light source is disposed in a first side of the display panel, for repeatedly transmitting second detection light of different transmitting angles to the object at different time to generate a second reflection light. The second reflection light is sensed by the sensor array. The controller is for performing a corresponding operation according to a transmitting angle of the first light source and the coordinate of the projection point when brightness value of the reflective light is substantially greater than a predict value.

Display and method of determining a position of an object applied to a three-dimensional interactive display

A touch panel includes a plurality of driving lines, a plurality of sensing lines and a plurality of sensing units. The sensing lines are arranged intersecting with the driving lines. The sensing units are arranged in an array, and each of the sensing units is electrically coupled to a corresponding one of the driving lines and a corresponding one of the sensing lines. The driving lines or the sensing lines only pass through a single side of the touch panel.

Touch panel

A touch panel is provided. The touch panel includes a plurality of pixels, wherein each pixel includes M*N sub-pixels, at least m sub-pixels each include at least one photo sensitive area and at least one effective display area, the other n sub-pixels each include only at least one effective display area, M&#x2267;2, N&#x2267;1, m&#x2266;M, m+n=M and m&#x2267;0. A first color filter film is disposed over a photo sensor of the photo sensitive area and a second color filter film is disposed over the effective display area, wherein the color of the first and second color filter films are the same at the same sub-pixel. The photo sensors at the same column of the sub-pixels are electrically connected by a signal readout line, wherein only one signal readout line is disposed at every M column of the sub-pixels.

A touch panel includes a substrate, scan lines, data output lines, a signal processing unit and touch sensing units. Each touch sensing unit includes a sensing electrode, a reference capacitor, an output circuit and a reset circuit. The sensing electrode is disposed in a breach of the sensing electrode. The reference capacitor, the output circuit and the reset circuit are disposed on the substrate and in the breach. The output circuit, the reset circuit, the reference capacitor and the sensing electrode are electrically coupled to a reference point. The output circuit is configured to output touch signals to the corresponding data output line. The signal processing unit is configured to obtain electric potential of the data output line and perform a corresponding processing step. When the touch sensing unit is out of working, the reference point is reset to a predetermined electric potential.

A driving method applied to a liquid crystal display. First, a first pixel voltage is outputted to a first pixel in a first row of pixels to change a transmittance of the first pixel. Next, a second pixel voltage is outputted to a second pixel in a second row of pixels to change a transmittance of the second pixel. Then, a backlight module is turned on. Next, at a first predetermined time point after the first pixel voltage is outputted, a pixel electrode voltage of the first pixel is adjusted. Finally, at a second predetermined time point after the second pixel voltage is outputted, a pixel electrode voltage of the second pixel is adjusted. The second predetermined time point follows the first predetermined time point.

Driver circuit structure

A shift register includes a plurality of shift register units coupled in series. Each shift register unit, receiving an input voltage at an input end and an output voltage at an output end, includes a node, a pull-up driving circuit, a pull-up circuit and first through third pull-down circuits. The pull-up driving circuit can transmit the input voltage to the node, and the pull-up circuit can provide the output voltage based on a high-frequency clock signal and the input signal. The first pull-down circuit can provide a bias voltage at the node or at the output end based on a first low-frequency clock signal. The second pull-down circuit can provide a bias voltage at the node or at the output end based on a second low-frequency clock signal. The third pull-down circuit can provide a bias voltage at the node or at the output end based on a feedback voltage.

Shift register of LCD devices

A display panel having a display region and a sealant region is provided. The display panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a sealant and a display medium. The sealant is disposed between the first and second substrates and within the sealant region. The display medium is disposed between the first and second substrates and within the display region. The second substrate includes pixel units and wires electrically connected to the pixel units. The pixel units are disposed within the display region, the wires extend to the sealant region from the display region, and at least a portion of the wires in the sealant region has slots. In particular, each of the slots has a side edge adjacent to the edge of the wire which the slot is disposed therein, and the distances from the side edge to the edge of the wire are not equal.

In a multi-domain vertical alignment liquid crystal display wherein a pixel that has two sub-pixels, an additional switching element is used to achieve a voltage differential between the electrode voltage potential in one sub-pixel and the other during and after the charge-sharing period. The electrodes in the sub-pixels are connected to each other through a charge-sharing capacitor and a controlling switching element, such as another transistor. Before the charge-sharing period, the controlling switching element is operated in a non-conducting state and the voltage potentials of the sub-pixel electrodes are substantially equal. During the charge-sharing period, the controlling switching element is operated in a conducting state to facilitate charge-sharing. The additional switching element is used to achieve the voltage differential more effectively and without additional capacitors.

Multi-domain vertical alignment liquid crystal display with charge sharing

In a method for driving a liquid crystal display, a plurality of first enabling pulses are transmitted to a first group of scan lines in a first period of a predetermined time, respectively. A plurality of second enabling pulses are transmitted to a second group of scan lines in a second period of the predetermined time, respectively. The pixel voltages of pixel units, which are connected to the scan lines of the first and second group, are different in their polarities. During the predetermined time, a common voltage signal, which has different levels in the first and second period, is transmitted to the common line. A liquid crystal display applying the above driving method is also disclosed.

A field-sequential display apparatus and a display system which is capable of sensing pixel address are provided. The field-sequential display apparatus comprises a plurality of pixels, each of which is adapted to present a plurality of display states. The display states includes at least one colored light and an invisible light, wherein the at last one colored light and invisible light are alternately displayed, and the invisible light is adapted to transmit the address information of the pixel.
