Disclosed is a packaging for a flexible secondary battery comprising a first polymer resin layer, a barrier layer formed on the first polymer resin layer to block water and gas, and a second polymer resin layer formed on the barrier layer. The thickness of the barrier layer is 30 to 999 nm. The barrier layer is multi-layered, and comprises graphene, a dispersing agent, and pyrene as a flexible linking agent, in which there is π-π conjugation (interaction) between the graphene and the pyrene. An electrode including a current collector; and an electrode active material layer disposed on at least one surface of the current collector is disclosed. The electrode active material layer includes a lower layer region facing the current collector, and an upper layer region facing the lower layer region and extended to the surface of the electrode active material layer. The lower layer region includes a first active material and a first non-rubbery binder and is free from a rubbery binder. The upper layer region includes a second active material, a second non-rubbery binder, and a rubbery binder. The rubbery binder is a hydrogenated nitrile butadiene rubber (H-NBR). Each of the first non-rubbery binder and the second non-rubbery binder includes a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)-based polymer, and the weight ratio of the second non-rubbery binder to the rubbery binder in the upper layer region is 1:0.03-1:0.07.

Furthermore, even though the lithium electrode is coated with a protective membrane for lithium ion conduction on the surface thereof, the protective membrane can be prevented from being peeled off during the charge and discharge of a lithium secondary battery.

Disclosed is a method for preparing a lithium-metal composite oxide, the method comprising the steps of: (a) mixing an aqueous solution of one or more transition metal-containing precursor compounds with an alkalifying agent and a lithium precursor compound to precipitate hydroxides of the transition metals; (b) mixing the mixture of step (a) with water under supercritical or subcritical conditions to synthesize a lithium-metal composite oxide, and drying the lithium-metal composite oxide; and (c) subjecting the dried lithium-metal composite oxide either to calcination or to granulation and then calcination. Also disclosed are an electrode comprising the lithium-metal composite oxide, and an electrochemical device comprising the electrode. In the disclosed invention, a lithium-metal composite oxide synthesized based on the prior supercritical hydrothermal synthesis method is subjected either to calcination or to granulation and then calcination. Thus, unlike the prior dry calcination method or wet precipitation method, a uniform solid solution can be formed and the ordering of metals in the composite oxide can be improved. Accordingly, the lithium-metal composite oxide can show crystal stability and excellent electrochemical properties.

The present invention relates to a lithium-containing metal composite oxide comprising paramagnetic and diamagnetic metals, which satisfies any one of the following conditions: (a) the ratio of intensity between a main peak of 0&#xb1;10 ppm (I) and a main peak of 240&#xb1;140 ppm (I), (I/I), is less than 0.117&#xb7;Z wherein z is the ratio of moles of the diamagnetic metal to moles of lithium; (b) the ratio of line width between the main peak of 0&#xb1;10 ppm (I) and the main peak of 240&#xb1;140 ppm (I), (W/W), is less than 21.45; and (c) both the conditions (a) and (b). The peaks of the lithium-containing metal composite oxide are obtained according to the 7Li&#x2014;NMR measurement conditions and means disclosed herein.
