The present invention provides a solid water soluble granular composition which comprises an imidazolinone herbicide alone or in combination with a second herbicide and a base, preferably wherein the base is present at a ratio of about 0.9 to 2.0 molar equivalents of base to molar equivalents of imidazolinone herbicide.
