A lockable container for securing items or objects, the container including a first element, which may include a cylindrical member and a retainer for capturing two or more rotatable rings on the cylindrical member, and a second element, which is mateable with the first element, cooperating with the rings to close an open end of the cylindrical member of the first element.

Lockable container

An improved hypodermic syringe employs a syringe holder which surrounds the syringe barrel, including the needle, both before and after injection. The syringe holder encases the operable parts of the syringe prior to use. One embodiment employs a plunger having a plunger lock adapted to engage a counterlock in a rubber support, which holds the needle in place. When the plunger is fully compressed to inject the liquid, the plunger lock engages the counterlock, allowing the needle to be retracted into the syringe holder by pulling the plunger. In an alternate embodiment, a conventional one-piece plunger is used. After injection, the needle is retracted into the holder by grasping and pulling the syringe barrel.

A non-aerosol liquid dispenser comprising a container having a preformed elastomeric diaphragm secured therein. The diaphragm stretches during filling of the container to create a return force which causes dispensing when a manually operated valve is actuated. The diaphragm includes a one-way valve which, during filling of the container, operates to permit air trapped beneath the diaphragm to enter the space above the diaphragm where the liquid is being supplied. The trapped air is expelled during the first actuation of the manually operated valve.

Non-aerosol dispenser

A device in the form of a syringe having a barrel with a cylindrical neck portion in the end thereof and a plunger axially displaceable therein, a hollow needle and a hub securing the hollow needle to the open end of the barrel with a chamber in between dimensioned to have a cross section greater than the cross section of the bore and a sealing disc within the neck of the barrel mounted for displacement between sealing position for separating the needle from the barrel and unsealing position enabling fluid to flow from the barrel through the chamber to the needle.

Fluid dispensing device

A unitary closure and delivery means for dispensing solutions for parenteral administration from containers having an open end with a constricted neck, comprising an outwardly directed portion extending from the constricted neck and an inwardly directed portion held in inwardly displaceable, sealable relation within said constricted neck. The outwardly directed portion is channeled with an axially directed bore. The inwardly directed portion has at least one axial bisecting division which extends to and communicates with the bore. The opposing surfaces of the division are normally separated, but when mated by compressive engagement of the divided parts while held within the neck form a liquid impermeable seal. When the unit is urged inwardly from the neck into the body of the container, the surfaces of the bisecting division separate to form a patent path of communication with the interior of the container and its contents.

Parenteral apparatus

A filter device for injectable fluids which comprises a container secured in the open end of a vial partially filled with the injectable fluid in which the container and vial are sealed at their open ends by a rupturable sealing member and in which a filter member seals a passage communicating the interior of the container with the interior of the vial to filter gases and fluids passing through the compartment into and out of the vial.

A syringe having a sealed member at one end and in which a hypodermic needle is mounted by a collapsible hub with the rearward end of the needle terminating a short distance in advance of the sealing member means for guiding the collapsible hub and needle for axial movement in the direction for displacement of the needle in the direction for piercing the sealing member, means for retaining the collapsible hub in needle piercing position and means for removing a cover from the needle to expose the needle while in needle piercing position.

A filter device for injectable fluids which includes a container in the open end of the device subdivided into a pair of sealed compartments with self sealing members in each compartment communicating the compartments with the interior of the vial, with the self sealing members being responsive to pressure differential between the interior of the vial and the particulate compartments, and filter members in each compartment through which fluid flows during passage between the vial and the compartment.

A filter device for injectable fluids which includes a tubular member secured in sealing relation in the open end of a vial partially filled with the injectable fluid and a rupturable sealing disc sealing the tubular member and which includes a filter means within the tubular member for filtration of fluid during passage through said tubular member.

Filter device for injectable fluids

A catheter for use in male patients is disclosed. A catheter is inserted into the urethra and secured in position by the expansion of a flexible portion of the catheter to engage the fossa navicularus. In a first embodiment the expansion is controlled by a threaded element which is removably engaged in the catheter. In a second embodiment the flexible portion of the catheter is collapsible during insertion and expands to the secured position.

A device for packaging ingredients, one of which is in the liquid phase, in a separated relation until mixed and extracted under sterile conditions by filtration of air introduced into the device and filtration of the mixture when extracted from the device.

A male contraceptive device including a urethral sealing member in the form of a hollow tube having means adjacent one end thereof to engage the fossa navicularis within the urethra in a sealing relationship and a container mounted on the tube adapted to receive sperm passing from the urethra into the hollow tube.

A non-aerosol type spray device comprising a container for housing a liquid content material to be dispensed and a plunger slidable as a piston within the container and an elongate tubular member for actuating the plunger with a bore extending continuously therethrough for communication with the interior of the container at one end and communnication with a spray nozzle at the other for passage of the liquid content material from the container through the bore to the spray nozzle in response to displacement of the plunger.
