A method includes: defining, by a computer device, an audio collaborative environment; defining, by the computer device, an access control of the audio collaborative environment, wherein the access control includes a geofence; receiving, by the computer device, a request from at least one user device to connect to the audio collaborative environment; determining, by the computer device, the at least one user device satisfies the access control; connecting, by the computer device, the at least one user device to an audio channel of the audio collaborative environment; recording, by the computer device, audio data transmitted on the audio channel by the at least one user device; storing, by the computer device, the audio data in a record; tagging, by the computer device, respective portions of the audio data in the record; and presenting one of the respective portions of the audio data to a user based on the tagging.

Proximity based audio collaboration

At least one target virtual disk descriptor that describes at least one virtual disk associated with an existing target virtual machine in a target virtualized environment is merged with at least one source virtual disk descriptor that describes at least one virtual disk associated with a source. The merging is carried out to obtain at least one merged virtual disk descriptor compatible with the target virtualized environment. The at least one virtual disk associated with the existing target virtual machine in the target virtualized environment is replaced with the at least one virtual disk associated with the source, in accordance with the at least one merged virtual disk descriptor.

Replacing virtual machine disks

An approach is provided for optimizing service factors for computing resources in a networked computing environment. Specifically, under one approach, a cloud broker/aggregator, a cloud offering optimizer, and a user workload optimizer may be provided. The cloud aggregator may aggregate information/data pertaining to a set of service factors associated with a set of resources distributed among a set of deployment groups (e.g., cloud pods). The cloud offering optimizer may analyze this information and may determine a reallocation plan to optimize values of the service factors associated with the set of resources. The user workload optimizer may then receive the reallocation plan from the cloud offering optimizer and/or application event information, and modify the deployment topology accordingly.

Optimizing service factors for computing resources in a networked computing environment

Embodiments of the present invention provide a flexible approach to construct/create instances of cloud computing environments. Specifically, under embodiments of the present invention, an image of a virtual machine instance is created from the following components: image bits; content such as the liner notes, manual, metadata, etc.; end user information (so that the image can be customized for one or more specific end users); values provided to an installer; and cloud based values (e.g., IP address, hostname, etc.). By constructing the virtual machine using this approach, dynamic aspects of the image are managed external to the static binary representation of the image. This would include artifacts such as documentation, install scripts, binary files, etc. Additionally, user supplied data can be captured dynamically and copied to customize the image at the time of instance creation. Still yet, embodiments of the present invention provides system level configuration to construct the virtual machine.

Creating instances of cloud computing environments

An embodiment of the invention includes a method for workload optimization in a network (e.g., cloud computing environment). Usage of resources in the network is monitored in order to maintain a metadata catalog of operating experiences of the resources. A request for a resource in the network is received; and, resources that are available in the network are identified. Units that are included in the resources are also identified. The metadata catalog is queried for operating experiences associated with the requested resource. The requested resource is provisioned by the host system based on the operating experiences associated with the resource. This includes assembling the units that are included in the requested resource and/or automatically allocating workloads of the computing modules based on the cataloging of the workloads in the metadata catalog. The metadata catalog is updated with an operating experience associated with the provisioning of the requested resource.
