An actuator assembly of an actuation system for a closure member of a vehicle is provided. The actuator assembly includes an actuator housing including a sensor housing. The actuator assembly also includes an electric motor disposed in the actuator housing and configured to rotate a driven shaft operably coupled to an extensible member that is coupled to one of a body or the closure member for opening or closing the closure member. The actuator assembly also includes an actuator controller disposed in the sensor housing of the actuator housing and coupled to electric motor and an accelerometer configured to sense movement of the closure member. The actuator controller is configured to detect the movement of the closure member using the accelerometer. The actuator controller then controls the opening or closing of the closure member based on the movement of the closure member using the electric motor.

Distributed control system for servo controlled powered door actuator

A lifter plate assembly for holding a window of a motor vehicle door assembly and facilitating adjustable movement of the window along a vertical direction, and method of construction thereof are provided. The lifter plate assembly includes a main body having a rail guide hook for sliding receipt of a window regulator rail. A window holder is fixed to the main body for fixed receipt of an edge of the window. A cable holder is coupled to the main body via an adjustment mechanism for fixed attachment to at least one cable. The adjustment mechanism is adjustable via a plurality of tool-receiving features to move the main body and the window holder relative to the cable holder along the vertical direction. Each tool-receiving feature is accessible along separate first, second and third axes from one another.

Adjustable lifter plate assembly and window regulator rails for door glass and associated methods

An adjustable window regulator lift plate assembly for a vehicle window includes a base and a window holder. The window holder is secured to the base via a part-in-assembly fastener that extends through an aperture in the base and into an aperture formed in an inner leg of the window holder. The window holder may receive and secure a window, and the fastener may be inserted through the window holder and into a fastener plate disposed on an outer leg of the window holder. The window holder includes a curved inner surface on the inner leg, and the base includes a curved outer surface that contacts the inner leg. The window holder may be shifted and pivoted relative to the base. The fastener may be tightened to secure the window holder relative to the base in a desired pivoted position.

A carrier module for a motor vehicle and door assembly therewith is provided. The carrier module includes a pair of carrier members, each extending lengthwise between opposite first and second ends. The carrier members are operably coupled to one another via at least one cable, wherein at least one of the carrier members is formed of plastic material and includes at least one of, a plurality of weight reduction through openings bounded by strength and rigidity enhancing walls, at least one non-planar side having weight reduction, strength and rigidity enhancing undulations, and a plurality of strength and rigidity enhancing ribs bounding weight reduction recessed pockets.

In an aspect, a window regulator module kit is provided, comprising a guide rail having substantially no helical twist, a carrier plate having a selected mounting arrangement configured to bring the guide rail to a selected helically twisted position when the guide rail is mounted to the carrier plate, a lifter mountable to the guide rail, wherein the lifter is configured to hold a window glass, and a cable drive assembly connectable to the lifter so as to slide the lifter along the arcuate rail.

The adjustable window regulator lifter plate assembly includes a base, a window holder and a cross-car orientation adjustment mechanism. The base is configured for movement along a path. The base has an inboard side and an outboard side. The window holder is configured to receive and hold a vehicle window. The window holder is movably connected to the base. The cross-car orientation adjustment mechanism is operable by a cross-car orientation adjustment tool and is operatively connected to the window holder to control the cross-car orientation of the window holder. The cross-car orientation adjustment mechanism includes a cross-car orientation adjustment mechanism tool-receiving member configured to receive the cross-car orientation adjustment tool. The cross-car orientation adjustment mechanism tool-receiving member is accessible from the inboard side of the base.
