A method begins by monitoring exchange item transactions occurring in an exchange item marketplace network. The method continues with generating trend information based on the monitored exchange item transactions and determining attributes for a targeted marketing program based on the trend information. The method continues with identifying a subset of buyer computing devices based on the attributes. The method continues by generating offer information based on the targeted marketing program and sending the offer information to the subset of buyer computing devices. When receiving a purchase request from a buyer computing device, the method continues by generating an exchange item request regarding an exchange item and sending the exchange item request to a branded server associated with the exchange item. The method includes receiving offer exchange item information from the branded server and sending at least a portion of the offer exchange item information to the buyer computing device.

Injecting exchange items into an exchange item marketplace network

A method includes receiving, by a warehouse server, flash sale data file from a retail-type server. The method further includes storing, by the warehouse server, the flash sale data file in a database that functions as a virtual warehouse of flash sales. The method further includes interpreting, by the warehouse server, the information of the flash sale data file to determine flash sale parameters. The method further includes determining, by the warehouse server, whether a computing device has customer-device data that corresponds to the flash sale parameters. The method further includes, when the computing device has the customer-device data that corresponds to the flash sale parameters, generating, by the warehouse server, a customer specific coupon regarding the flash sale. The method further includes transmitting, by the warehouse server, the customer specific coupon to the computing device.

A method begins where a processing module receives, from a seller computing device, a request to sell an exchange item and verifies information regarding the seller computing device. The method continues where the processing module verifies information regarding the exchange item and adds the exchange item to a digital exchange item marketplace. The method continues where the processing module receives, from a buyer computing device, a request to buy a selected exchange item from the digital exchange item marketplace and verifies information regarding the buyer computing device. The method continues where the processing module verifies payment information, processes payment, removes the selected exchange item from the digital exchange item marketplace, and adds the selected exchange item to a digital wallet associated with the buyer computing device.
