A universal holding fixture with integrated templates for routing recess slots in doors for lock plates and door jambs for strike plates. The fixture includes a clamping mechanism allowing attachment to various widths of jambs and doors and is capable of compensation for irregularities and levels on the doors or jambs. The fixture provides two support bars to guide and control the router motor base for ease of operation and accurate control of recess depth. A depressible locating pin achieves accurate centering of lock plate with door lock bolt.

An assembly to receive, guide and bend a bale wire having a preformed end. The bale wire is bent to facilitate the joining of the preformed ends to be applied to a bale. The assembly includes a plurality of fixtures which receive an preformed end of a plurality of bale wires at predetermined positions. The assembly is then subjected to a rotational movement to bend the wire tie after which the preformed ends can be joined with ease.

A wire connection for two end portions of a wire including a closed loop at the first end portion of the wire and a projecting portion at the second end portion. The closed loop is inserted to a point to enable the projecting portion to extend through the closed loop. The projecting portion is deformed under loading into a configuration providing enhanced strength characteristics.

Wire connection

A connection for releasably securing the ends of an elongated member, such as a wire, used to bale packages or bundles of goods and material. The connection includes a hook or heel supported by a loop configuration which is insertable within a second loop formed on the other end of the elongated member, such that the heel or hook is attached into interconnecting relationship with the second loop. The connection permits the elongated member to be coupled and released as desired during baling and unbaling operations.
