A monolithic implantable medical device component includes multiple portions on a single substrate. The portions can be electrically connected to an electronics module, which may include output connectors and input connectors to and from the various portions of the substrate. A portion of the monolithic component to be disposed within, attached to, embedded in, or otherwise combined with a magnet retention feature, such as a plate.

Monolithic component for an implantable medical device

A breathing arrangement includes a patient interface, at least one inlet conduit, and a headgear assembly. The patient interface includes a mouth covering assembly including a cushion structured to sealingly engage around exterior of a patient's mouth in use, a nozzle assembly including a pair of nozzles structured to sealingly engage within nasal passages of a patient's nose in use, and a flexible element connecting the mouth covering assembly and the nozzle assembly. The at least one inlet conduit is structured to deliver breathable gas into at least one of the mouth covering assembly and the nozzle assembly for breathing by the patient. The headgear assembly is removably connected to at least one of the mouth covering assembly and the nozzle assembly so as to maintain the mouth covering assembly and the nozzle assembly in a desired position on the patient's face.

Winding a wire at a first location such that the wire is bunched at the first location, extending the wire from the first location to a second location, winding the wire at the second location such that the wire is bunched at the second location, extending the wire from the second location back towards the first location to a third location proximate the second location, winding the wire at the third location such that the wire is bunched at the third location, extending the wire from the third location back towards the first location to a fourth location at least proximate the first location, winding the wire at the fourth location such that the wire is bunched at the fourth location, severing the wire at one or more locations, and forming an electrode assembly utilizing the windings.

A breathing arrangement for use between a patient and a structure to deliver a breathable gas to the patient includes a patient interface including a mouth covering assembly including a cushion structured to sealingly engage around an exterior of a patient's mouth in use, a nozzle assembly including a pair of nozzles structured to sealingly engage within nasal passages of a patient's nose in use without forming a seal on a nasal bridge region of a patient's face, each of the nozzles including a dual wall construction including an inner wall and an outer wall that surrounds the inner wall, and a flexible element connecting the mouth covering assembly and the nozzle assembly.

A mask assembly for therapy of Sleep Disordered Breathing may include: a cushion having a seal forming portion that is structured to form a seal with only the patient's nose in use, the cushion defining at least in part an interior chamber; a shell assembly including a generally rigid shell, the generally rigid shell having a port that opens into the interior chamber, the generally rigid shell including an exhalation vent for venting exhaled gas, an air inlet tube in fluid communication with the cushion to supply breathable gas from a pressurized supply to the interior chamber; and a swivel and an elbow attached to the air inlet tube, the swivel and the elbow configured to be attached to an air supply conduit, wherein the swivel and the elbow are positioned superior to the patient's head in use, and wherein the mask assembly does not contact the patient's forehead in use.

Mask assembly

A comfortable low-leak mask assembly for use with Non-Invasive Positive Pressure Ventilation (NIPPV) is provided to improve patient compliance and/or treatment. The mask system may include headgear having straps that are substantially inextensible and/or micro-adjustable; and/or a mask and/or cushion that includes various structures to allow enhanced/tailored sealing and/or fit at selected locations on the patient's face.

A forehead pad for use in a respiratory mask with a forehead support, which includes a base portion to contact a user's forehead, a support post connected to the base portion, and a head adapted to connect the support post to a forehead support. Presented herein are stud bump bonding techniques for electrically connecting an elongate conductor, such as a wire or pin, to a bonding pad. A plurality of stud bumps are bonded to a surface of a bonding pad and an elongate electrical conductor is positioned in proximity to the plurality of stud bumps. The elongate conductor is bonded to one or more of the stud bumps.

An elbow for a mask system includes a proximal end adapted to be provided to the mask system, a distal end adapted to be provided to an air delivery conduit, and a baffle provided within the proximal end. The baffle has a generally planar configuration that defines an intake port that directs incoming air from the air delivery conduit into a mask cavity and an exhaust port separated from the intake port that directs exhaust air from the mask cavity to atmosphere. The baffle includes an end portion that is adapted to extend into the mask cavity defined by the mask system.
