A method for providing environmental comfort includes obtaining measurements of a dry bulb temperature, a relative humidity, and an airflow rate for an indoor space, calculating an apparent temperature for the indoor space using the measurements, and generating a visualization comprising a comfort band and a value of each of the apparent temperature, the dry bulb temperature, the relative humidity, and the airflow rate for the indoor space plotted relative to the comfort band along independent axes. The method also includes controlling building equipment to drive the value of one or more of the apparent temperature, the dry bulb temperature, the relative humidity, or the airflow rate into the comfort band.

An HVAC system for a building includes an airside economizer, a plurality of sensors, and a controller. The airside economizer includes a first air intake configured to receive return air from within a building, a second air intake configured to receive outdoor air from outside the building, and an air discharge configured to provide discharge air to the building. The controller is configured to identify a wet coil condition or a dry coil condition, calculate an enthalpy of the return air and an enthalpy of the outdoor air, select either a normal cooling mode or free cooling mode based on the calculated enthalpy of the return air, the calculated enthalpy of the outdoor air, and the identification of the wet coil condition or the dry coil condition, operate the airside economizer to provide the return air to the building as the discharge air in response to selecting the normal cooling mode, and operate the airside economizer provide the outdoor air to the building as the discharge air in response to selecting the free cooling mode.

A wireless mesh network survey tool is provided. The tool includes a user interface and a processing circuit. The processing circuit is configured to access a scaled floorplan of a building site, and identify a receiver device location on the scaled floorplan. The processing circuit is further configured to instruct a user to position a transmitter device at a number of test locations to determine a signal strength at each of the test locations. The processing circuit is also configured to determine a device count for a proposed mesh network based on the signal strength at each of the test locations. The device count includes a number of repeater devices. The processing circuit is further configured to display the proposed mesh network to the user via the user interface. The proposed mesh network includes recommended locations for the repeater devices on the scaled floorplan.
