A fixing system for lighting fixture parts, especially the lights of an automobile, includes a thermoplastic outer lens (), which is installed in a thermoplastic encircling housing () by means of a sealing adhesive () and secured by fastening elements. The fixing element is a brad pin () which is shot through a groove () of the encircling housing () and a lug () of the outer lens (), with a profile in the shape of a circle flattened at least at two diametrically opposite places, having a longitudinally smooth brad pin shank () along its entire length, which is covered by an adhesive () to hold the brad pins () together.

Fixing system for lighting fixture parts, especially automobile lights

A headlight for a motor vehicle with light unit for daytime and nighttime front navigation light and a supplemental distance light unit, in addition to an at least one optical module (), with light source (). The light sources () of the supplemental unit () are supplied with alternating electric current, for creation of the front nighttime navigation light when supplied with low electric current, or the front daytime navigation light when supplied with medium electric current, and when supplied with the highest electric current, a supplemental distance beam in addition to the distance light beam emerging from the optical module ().

Headlamp with day/night front vehicle position

A flat refractive collimator assembly including a light guide and a light source, for example, an LED. The sides of the light guide defines a collimating reflective surface having a paraboloidal shape with a collimating focal point placed on the axis of the light guide. The central portion of the light guide defines a main reflective surface having a virtual focal point, which is substantially similar to the collimating focal point. The collimating reflective surface is a paraboloidal surface or is formed as a plurality of paraboloidal segments having various focal lengths and having a common collimating focal point. The collimating reflective surface can also include spread optics.

Collimator assembly

Front side lighting device for motor vehicles is placed on both sides of the front of the vehicle. The device includes a compact reflector and a light source whose light beam is asymmetrical, with an angle (&#x3b2;) of an outer spread being greater than angle (&#x3b1;) of an inner spread. The device is activated either on both sides of the vehicle, in the case of low visibility, or only on the left or right side of the vehicle, during curve driving and/or turning. The side of activation is given by a steering wheel angle or by a turn signal switch and lighting mode is controlled by a speed sensor of the vehicle.

A headlamp for motor vehicles of the reflector or projector design having at least one low beam light chamber, with a discharge light source, and at least one high beam light chamber, with a halogen light source. The direction of the rays produced in the high beam light operational mode are adjusted by means of simultaneous vertical swiveling of both light chambers and independent horizontal adjustment of the low beam light chamber.

A multifunction adaptive projector system for motor vehicles is provided having a positioning mechanism designed to vary the position of a shield between three defined positions. The system includes an ellipsoidal reflector, a light source, a shield and a mechanism for variation of the position of the shield, in relation to the reflector, between a position for low beam light, a position for motorway light and a position for high beam light. For low beam light, the shield is in proximity of the focal point of the reflector. For motorway light, the shield is shifted by a first distance below the focal point of the reflector. For high beam light, the shield is shifted by a distance below the focal point of the reflector.

A projector headlamp utilizing only a single HID bulb for projecting light in a forward direction generally along a horizontal axis selectably between low beam and high beam conditions while shifting the hot spot as required between these conditions.

Bifunctional high intensity discharge projector headlamp

A tail lamp for use on an automotive vehicle with a large rake angle has a lens, a reflector, a source of light and a means for attachment of the tail light to the vehicle. The reflector has a pillowed reflective surface that is substantially vertically oriented and rearward facing, having a basic surface provided with a plurality of pillows. Each of the pillows has a set of corner control points defining the corners of said pillow, a set of edge control points defining the edges of said pillow and a set of interior control points. Each pillow also has a predetermined horizontal curvature angle from a tangent of the basic surface to a horizontal tangent of the pillowed surface and a predetermined vertical curvature angle from a tangent of the basic surface to a vertical tangent of the pillowed surface, measured at a corner control point of said pillow. The lens has a plurality of flutes on an interior surface thereof.

A headlamp has a complex reflector, a refractor, and a light source. The refractor is composed of upper and lower paraboloidal segments shaped such that the focal distance of the upper paraboloidal segment is shorter than the focal distance of the lower segment. The segments are provided with optical elements in the form of parabolic cylinders with a horizontal forming axis. The profile of the parabolic cylinders form is identical to the profile of the paraboloidal segments. The axis of the light source is located above the axis of the headlamp and the focii of the upper and lower paraboloidal segments are located adjacent the light source end faces.
