There is provided a wearable device, comprising connectors comprising a first connector and a second connector for interfacing with another device and/or a charger; a first switch for connecting the first connector and the second connector to a battery charging circuit of the wearable device; a second switch for connecting the first connector and the second connector to a communication circuit of the wearable device; a control unit configured to: enable an electrical connection between the connectors and the battery charging circuit, when the first switch is closed and the second switch is open; and enable communication with another device for data transfer via the connectors, when the first switch is open and the second switch is closed.

The invention concerns an assembly for an antenna operating in a slot mode. It is also directed to an electronic wristwatch-like device comprising such antennas. The antenna assembly comprises at least one circuit board of an electronic device, a conductive body arranged at a distance from said at least one circuit board and defining a slot between them, at least one feed element for coupling an electromagnetic signal between said conductive body and said circuit board. A length of the slot is defined between two points at which said conductive body is connected to a ground plane of said at least one circuit board.

Slot mode antennas

A diving computer with coupled antenna and a water contact assembly is disclosed. The diving computer has at least one radiator element located on or connected to an outermost surface of a bezel of the diving computer and a radio unit having a conductive coupling to said radiator element, for enabling wireless communication between said diving computer and external devices. A conductive water contact surface extends through the housing of the diving computer and a water contact detector circuit is arranged, as a part of an underwater condition sensing circuit, to sense an underwater condition of the device. When water establishes a current path through said underwater condition sensing circuit from the water contact surface to ground, the sensing circuit provides an indication of an underwater condition to the diving computer.

The invention concerns an assembly for an antenna operating in a slot mode. It is also directed to an electronic wristwatch-like device comprising such antennas. The antenna assembly comprises at least one circuit board of an electronic device, a conductive body arranged at a distance from said at least one circuit board, at least one feed element for coupling an electromagnetic signal between said conductive body and said circuit board, and wherein at least one conductive rim structure is running peripheral to at least one said circuit board. The conductive rim and the conductive body define at least one slot mode antenna between themselves. The length of a slot mode antenna is defined between two points at which said conductive body is connected to said conductive rim.

The invention concerns an assembly for an antenna, wherein the assembly comprises at least one circuit board of an electronic device, a conductive body arranged at a distance from said at least one circuit board, and an element of said antenna which comprises multiple attachment points for at least one connecting member, and said at least one connecting member is coupled to only one of said multiple attachment points at a time.

Antenna assembly for customizable devices

There is disclosed herein a water tight submersible electronic device, such as a dive computer or a dive watch, comprising a case, a bezel, and glass through which a display can be viewed. The glass, case and bezel can all be different materials. The bezel is affixed to the case, in a permanent or removable manner, and has an opening for the glass and an electronic display. The electronic display is positioned under the glass and within the electronic device. For example, the glass is separated from and locked to the bezel by at least a locking ring, a shock absorber and/or a gasket. As such the glass can be free floating so that it and the bezel can deform under pressure without being damaged or causing damage to each other while maintaining a water tight connection.

Electronic display suitable for submersion

An coupled antenna apparatus particularly well adapted for small form factor, metal encased applications that utilize satellite wireless links, e.g. GPS. Certain examples use electromagnetic feeding that includes one or more separate feed elements that are not galvanically connected to a radiator element of the antenna. Additionally, one radiator element of the antenna can be located on an outermost surface of a bezel of an electronic device, for example a wrist-wearable device. A low capacitance transient voltage suppressor diode is housed within an electronic device and electrically coupled to such an outer radiator element.

The invention relates to arrangements for holding a wristband device attached to a handlebar, such as a bicycle handlebar. The arrangement comprises a holder and a strap of a stretchable material forming an elastic strap loop. The holder comprises a plate-like middle portion having a flat surface on the top side to support the housing of said electronic device, and a first recess on the opposite bottom side for interfacing with a handlebar. It also comprises first and second bent outer portions attached to opposite ends of said middle portion adapted to support at least part of said wristband of said electronic device, and a pair of second recesses formed on the top side of said middle portion at its opposite ends between the middle portion and said outer portions, respectively. The holder is attached to the handlebar with the first recess mating with the handlebar and the elastic strap loop wrapped around the handlebar with a first end fitted in a first recess and the other end of said strap fitted in the second recess of said pair of second recesses.

Arrangement for holding a device attached to a handlebar

The invention concerns an electronic device for personal use and a coupled antenna apparatus for such a device, comprising a top cover and a housing with an opposing back cover configured to form a closed space between said top and back cover that is adapted to receive electronic circuitry and a display unit. A bezel made of a conductive material is forming a rim on top of said housing and is interfacing with the top cover. According to the invention, an elongate strip of a conductive material deposited on a first side of an elongate antenna feed element and is forming a first radiating element and a second elongate strip of a conductive material deposited on a second side of the antenna feed element is forming a second radiating element, whereby the first and second radiating elements are positioned in proximity against the bezel at at least one inner wall portion of the bezel that extends in a direction between the first and second radiating elements and the display unit. The first and second radiating elements are functionally coupled to said bezel to form an antenna system of said electronic device.

Antenna for device having conducting casing

A clasp according to embodiments of the present invention is particularly well suited to wrist bands of diving watches, specifically metallic link type wrist bands. Such a clasp can be worn in a first closed position during normal usage against a user's bare wrist. The same clasp can then extend so that the same watch and wrist band can be worn by a user over some additional material, such as a dive suit. The extension of the clasp is beneficial as it requires no tools, is simple and reliable.
