A mobile device display comprises a normal operating mode and a power save mode. The display comprises an area for use during power save mode operation of the mobile device. The area is a portion of a full display area or the full display area. The mobile device comprises a memory that comprises an application program. The mobile device displays a first content relating to the application program in the area. The content is displayed for a first determined time period or until the mobile device transitions from the power save mode to the normal operating mode, when the mobile device is in the power save mode and the user controllable application program is running, the first determined time period is provided by the application program.

Displaying content on a display in power save mode

According to one aspect, there is provided an apparatus comprising at least one processing unit and at least one memory. The at least one memory stores program instructions that, when executed by the at least one processing unit, cause the apparatus to obtain a set of captured still images captured with a camera, detect at least one face in the captured still images, and cause display of the detected at least one face on a display providing a live viewfinder feed of a scene to be captured as an additional display element while providing the live viewfinder feed on the display.

Facilitating capturing a digital image

Content search involves receiving a user-formulated search query via a user device. The search query is submitted to two or more search domains. The search domains represent separate data repositories accessible via the user device. Results objects are received from the two or more search domains in response to the search query. The results objects arc ranked using different ranking criterion by the respective search domains from which the search results were received. A rank value for each of the results objects is determined based on a single ranking criterion. The results objects are ordered based at least in part on the rank values determined using the single ranking criterion and sent for display in a user interface of the user device.

Method, system, and apparatus for arranging content search results

An approach is provided for correlating and navigating between a live camera image and a prerecorded panoramic image. A mapping and augmented reality application correlates at least one live image with a prerecorded panoramic image, when a location of a device used to capture the at least one live image matches a location of a device used to capture the panoramic prerecorded image. The mapping and augmented reality application causes, at least in part, automatically alternating presentation on a screen of the device capturing the at least one live image, of the at least one live image and the prerecorded panoramic image.

Method and apparatus for correlating and navigating between a live image and a prerecorded panoramic image
