A power distribution assembly having: a first DC power source and a second DC power source each including at least one fuel cell; a first DC bus bar electrically connected to the first DC power source, and a second DC bus bar electrically connected to the second DC power source and galvanically isolated from it; and a first supply converter electrically connected to the first DC bus bar, and a second supply converter electrically connected to the second DC bus bar. The power distribution assembly includes at least one multi-winding machine unit, which is an alternating current rotating machine unit including a first stator winding and a second stator winding, wherein the first stator winding is electrically connected to the first supply converter, and the second stator winding is electrically connected to the second supply converter.

Power distribution assembly

A fuel cell power system and a method of starting a fuel cell power system. The fuel cell power system includes a fuel cell system having one or more voltage outputs, one or more DC/DC converters each having an output and an input, the input being connectable to the voltage outputs of the fuel cell system, a DC voltage link connectable to the output of the one or more DC/DC converters, and a local load connectable to the DC voltage link. In the system, the local load is adapted to draw power from the fuel cell system to decrease the voltage of the fuel cell system.

Fuel cell power system

A marine power system including multiple of fuel cells, multiple of D C/AC converters and at least one propulsion motor. In the marine power system, each fuel cell of the multiple of fuel cells is connectable to an input of a DC/AC converter of the multiple of DC/AC converters and at least one group of multiple of DC/AC converters is connectable to the at least one propulsion motor to provide variable frequency and amplitude voltage to the at least one propulsion motor. Further, at least one of the multiple of DC/AC converters is connectable to a fixed frequency AC bus to provide voltage with a fixed frequency and amplitude to the fixed frequency AC bus.

Marine power system

An electric power generation system and a method in an electric power generation system. The system comprising one or more generators for producing electrical energy, each generator being arranged to be driven with a corresponding prime mover, wherein the generators are multiphase AC generators adapted to generate a multiphase voltage having a frequency and an amplitude, the phase outputs of the generators are connectable to a common multiphase bus for distributing the electrical energy generated by the AC generators, the system comprises further means for providing independent reference values for a rotational speed of the prime movers and for amplitude of the multiphase voltage, the rotational speed of the prime movers defining the frequency of the multiphase voltage, and the system is adapted to operate in at least three operation points on the basis of the provided independent reference values, an operation point being defined by a ratio of the amplitude of the multiphase voltage to the frequency of the multiphase voltage, wherein the at least three operation points are different.
