The image reading unit () reads an image from a document. The image forming unit () is located below the image reading unit () and forms an image on a sheet. The operation unit () is rotatably supported at a position forward of the image reading unit () and receives user's operation. The post-process unit () is provided between the image reading unit () and the image forming unit (), and has, at a position interfering with the rotation range of the operation unit (), a retracted portion () retracted rearward in the post-process unit (). The post-process unit () performs a post-process on a sheet on which an image has been formed by the image forming unit ().

Image formation apparatus with post-processing

The operation unit () is configured to receive user's operation and supported at a position frontward of the image reading unit () by the support housing () so as to be rotatable within a predetermined rotation range around a rotation shaft parallel to a right-left direction of the image formation apparatus (). The information reading unit () is configured to read information about the user and housed in the housing side surface () so that a part of the information reading unit () is present rearward of the operation unit () in a first attitude in which a surface of the operation unit () is closest to a vertical plane, and a part of the information reading unit () is present downward of the operation unit () in a second attitude in which the surface of the operation unit () is closest to a horizontal plane.

Image formation apparatus

An image forming apparatus () includes an image reading portion (), an image forming portion (), an in-body discharge portion (), an information reading portion (), a reading cover (), and an operation portion (). The information reading portion () is stored in a front of the image reading portion () and reads information of a user. The reading cover () covers the information reading portion (). A first area including surfaces of the reading cover () and the operation portion () and a second area including surfaces of the image reading portion (), the image forming portion (), and the in-body discharge portion () are substantially different in outer appearance.

Image forming apparatus

A sheet feed cassette is a sheet feed cassette in which a sheet is stored, the sheet feed cassette being mountable to and detachable from an image forming apparatus, the sheet feed cassette including a mounting portion and a cover. The mounting portion is formed so as to be recessed in a front surface of the sheet feed cassette. One or a plurality of information display members on which information concerning the sheet is described can be inserted to and pulled out from the mounting portion. The cover is capable of opening/closing relative to the mounting portion and has a surface flush with the front surface of the sheet feed cassette in a state where the cover is closed.
