An information processing apparatus is connected to one or more apparatuses via a network and includes a first acquisition unit that acquires communication information for communicating with any of the one or more apparatuses and authority information for writing the communication information to a predetermined information medium, a determination unit that determines whether the writing the communication information to the information medium is permitted based on the acquired authority information, and an updating unit that writes the communication information to the information medium when it is determined that the writing the communication information is permitted, to update the information medium with the written communication information.

An image processing system includes an image capturing apparatus and a server apparatus. The server apparatus includes: an identifying unit that identifies the print data stored in the storage unit in a manner associated with the identification information received from the image capturing apparatus; and a transmitting unit that transmits the related information related to the identified print data to the image capturing apparatus.

An image forming apparatus includes a parsing part parsing printing data; plural rendering process parts carrying out a rendering process on the parsed printing data; a band memory to which each of the plural rendering process parts carries out the rendering; a rendering control part carrying out rendering control, based on a parsing result of the parsing part, to cause a predetermined one of the plural rendering process parts to generate intermediate data or carry out the rendering to the band memory; and a data memory storing the intermediate data generated by the predetermined one of the plural rendering process parts. Another of the plural rendering process parts carries out the rendering to the band memory using the intermediate data stored in the data memory.

An image forming apparatus includes: a PDL analyzing unit that analyzes print data and obtains a drawing condition; a drawing unit that uses a type of dither selected from types of dither, prepared and associated with drawing conditions, according to the drawing condition analyzed, and generates output image data; an image forming unit; a fixing unit that fixes an image formed on a recording sheet by heating the image to a fixing temperature; a fixing control unit that controls the fixing temperature to a target value; and a database in which each of the types of dither is associated with the target value of fixing temperature for power saving. The fixing control unit obtains from the database the target value of fixing temperature corresponding to the type of dither used in the drawing unit and carries out control to conduct fixing at the target value thus obtained.

A graphic-drawing processing unit performs a rendering process of print data with respect to a band memory or a page memory. When there is a rendering engine that performs a memory access using a memory word width as a minimum unit as a rendering environment, an arbitrary-word-width drawing unit is configured to access an arbitrary-word-width having an arbitrary height, and a one-word width-limited drawing unit is configured to access a limited one-word width having an arbitrary height. The graphic-drawing processing unit performs a drawing process by switching the arbitrary-word-width drawing unit and the one-word-width-limited drawing unit as appropriate.

Apparatus for accelerated processing of print data by maximizing word-boundary accesses of image data

An image processing apparatus can process a plurality of printer languages having respectively different ROP calculation rules, and inputs a drawing command written in any one of the printer languages and performs rasterization into drawing data corresponding to the drawing command. An interpreter converts a target ROP code and ROP calculation rule of the print data into another ROP code and ROP calculation rule that produce substantially the same drawing data.
