A bag includes a peelable portion and first and second panel parts facing each other. The bag is configured to be openable by peeling off the peelable portion. The peelable portion includes at least one joined region in which the first and second panel parts are joined to each other, and release agent application regions in which the first and second panel parts are prevented by a release agent intervening therebetween from being joined to each other, the release agent application regions being present in a pattern.

A heat seal device for use in a bag making apparatus includes: a first heat seal member; a second heat seal member facing the first heat seal member; a heater for heating at least one of the first heat seal member or the second heat seal member; a drive mechanism configured to move the first heat seal member towards and away from the second heat seal member so as to releasably sandwich a web between the first and second heat seal members; a sensor disposed to detect acceleration of the first heat seal member; and a measurement part configured to measure a sandwiching time during which the web is sandwiched by the first and second heat seal members based on data from the sensor.

Heat seal device

A bag making apparatus and a bag making method make bags. The bag has a first panel part and a first flap part formed by folding a first sheet part, and a second panel part and a second flap part formed by folding a second sheet part. The first and second panel parts face each other. The first and second flap parts are interposed between the first and second panel parts and face each other. An open edge is formed by folded edges of the first and second sheet parts. The bag further comprises adhesive located between the open edge and the engagement tool, interposed between the first and second flap parts and extending across the widths of the first and second sheet parts to peelably adhere the first and second flap parts to each other. Alternatively, the second sheet part may only consists of the second panel part.

A bag making apparatus includes a welding device for welding a sheet panel and a strip member in a zone where the sheet panel is intermittently fed by a feed device and a cut device disposed downstream of the welding device to cross-cut the sheet panel and the strip member every intermitted feed cycle. The welding device include a pressure unit for pressurizing the sheet panel and the strip member superposed on each other and a laser unit for irradiating the sheet panel or the strip member with a laser beam at an irradiation position upstream of a pressure position of the pressure unit to melt the sheet panel or the strip member. The pressure unit and the laser unit are configured to be movable together upstream and downstream relative to the sheet panel while maintaining a relative positional relationship between the pressure position and the irradiation position.

Bag making apparatus

At least one of a horn or an anvil includes protrusions that protrude from a facing surface thereof. Two panel parts and a gusset part folded and interposed between the panel parts are sandwiched and compressed by the horn and the anvil. Two portions of the gusset part are welded to each other by ultrasonic vibration of the horn during the sandwiching and compressing.

Bag making method

A punching machine includes a punch blade and a support for supporting a spout. The punching machine further includes a drive mechanism. When the punch blade and the spout supported by the support face each other in a direction perpendicular to a web with the web interposed between the punch blade and the spout, the drive mechanism moves one of the punch blade or the support towards the other in the vertical direction to punch a hole in the web using the punch blade and the spout.

A welding device includes a pair of pressure rollers for pressurizing a web and a strip member, a feed device configured to intermittently or continuously feed the web and the strip member through the pair of pressure rollers, and the laser device configured to irradiate the web or the strip member with a laser beam at a position upstream of the pair of pressure rollers. The welding device may include a movement device configured to move the pair of pressure rollers upstream with respect to the web and the strip member during pause or stop of feed. A web of first or second material is provided with the spout, and a plastic bag is made from side gusset materials in addition to webs of the first and second materials. An aperture is formed in the web of the first or second panel material, and the spout is inserted into and positioned with the aperture, whenever the webs of the first and second panel materials are fed intermittently. After the webs of the first and second panel materials are superposed on each other, whenever the webs of the first and second panel materials are fed intermittently, the webs of the first and second panel materials are heat sealed with each other in a longitudinal direction thereof by a longitudinal seal device, and the webs of the first and second panel materials are heat sealed with the side gusset materials in a width direction thereof by a cross seal device.

Bag making machine and method for making plastic bag

A spout is mounted on a plastic film being longitudinally and intermittently fed. The plastic film is punched by a punch blade to form an aperture. A carriage is moved for a distance corresponding to a space between the punch blade and a seal head and between a punch receiver and a seal receiver. The spout is inserted into the aperture. The spout and the plastic film are heat sealed with each other by the seal head.

An apparatus successively makes plastic bags each of which includes an end surface provided with a protrusion, without specially supplying a web of bottom gusset material. A first web of panel material is folded along a first folded line at a position adjacent to a side edge of the first web, while a second web of panel material is folded along a second folded line at a position adjacent to a corresponding side edge of the second web. A first folded portion is formed in the first web. There exists a distance between the side edge and the first folded line, which is larger than twice a distance between the corresponding side edge and the second folded line by a predetermined distance, after being folded. The end surface is formed by the first folded portion, the protrusion being formed by the predetermined distance.
