A lid member is mounted to the fuel tank to cover an opening of the fuel tank. A fuel pump is arranged in the fuel tank to pump fuel in the fuel tank. A module case supports the fuel pump. A pump module includes fuel component protruding from a lateral side of the module case in a projection, which is viewed from a side of the lid member. A supporting member is connected with the lid member and the module case to support the pump module in the fuel tank. The lid member supports the pump module via the supporting member. The module case includes a connecting portion that connects with the supporting member. The connecting portion protrudes from the module case to the lateral side of the module case. The connecting portion is arranged in an imaginary circle that passes through outer peripheries of the module case and the fuel component in the projection. The imaginary circle accommodates the module case and the fuel component in the projection.

Fuel feed apparatus having small sized structure

A fuel feed apparatus includes a flange, a fuel pump, and a stay. The flange covers an opening of a fuel tank. The fuel pump is accommodated in the fuel tank. The fuel pump pumps fuel in the fuel tank to the outside of the fuel tank. The stay has a first end, which connects with the flange. The stay has a second end that supports the fuel pump in the fuel tank. The flange has a hole portion on the side of the fuel pump. The hole portion of the flange receives the first end of the stay on the opposite side of the fuel pump. The first end, which is received in the hole portion, has a rotation restricting portion that restricts the stay from rotating in the circumferential direction of the stay.

Fuel feed apparatus having pump and stay

In a fuel supply apparatus for a vehicle, a sender gauge is attached to a stay separated from a flange and a bracket for supporting a fuel pump. By changing the shape of the stay, without changing the shape of other components, the mounting position of the sender gauge can be arbitrarily defined. The position of the sender gauge can be moved to a position where the interference of a float member with a fuel tank, sub-tank or suction filter may be prevented.

Fuel supply apparatus

A cylindrical housing including a float-type valve is latch-engaged in an installation wall in a fuel tank. The cylindrical housing has an annular groove on its entire outer circumference, while the installation wall has a plurality of resilient tongues each of which has an inwardly protruding convex. With the latch-engagement between the resilient tongues and the annular groove being provided radially outside the housing, the float-type valve is enabled to move in the cylindrical housing without interruption by the resilient tongues. A turn preventing mechanism is provided between the cylindrical housing and the installation wall at the upper parts thereof located outside the fuel tank.

Fuel leakage prevention system having latch-engaged valve

In a fuel supply system, pressurized fuel is supplied to a delivery pipe from a fuel tank and distributed to fuel injection valves. The delivery pipe includes a main pipe in which upper and lower chambers are defined by a partition wall. One of the fuel injection valves is capable of receiving fuel from both the upper and lower chambers via a particular passage, while the other fuel injection valves are arranged to receive the fuel only from the lower chamber. Bubbles are supplied only to that one fuel injection valve and discharged therethrough. Accordingly, the other fuel injection valves can achieve the normal fuel injection even when the bubbles are present in the delivery pipe. It may be arranged that the partition wall may be omitted. It may further be arranged that the fuel supplied to the delivery pipe is prohibited from returning to the fuel tank and thus is all supplied to an engine via the fuel injection valves.
