A disposable diaper is provided comprising a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and a liquid retentive absorbent member interposed between the topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent member comprises, in admixture, a superabsorbent polymer A having a rate of absorption of 8 g/30 sec/0.3 g or more measured by DW method and a superabsorbent polymer B having a rate of absorption of 5 g/30 sec/0.3 g or less measured by DW method at a polymer A/polymer B weight ratio of 90/10 to 10/90. The admixture optionally further comprises fluff pulp in an amount of from 0 to 30% by weight.

Disposable diaper and absorbent member used therein

A wrap film comprising a thermoplastic resin composition and having a longitudinal direction elongation at break of less than 100% and a longitudinal direction strength at 5% elongation of 150 cN/10 mm or less is disclosed. The thermoplastic resin composition comprises a polypropylene resin and at least one resin having a flexural modulus of 100 MPa or less selected from an ethylene-propylene rubber and an ethylene-&#x3b1;-olefin copolymer having 4 or more carbon atoms in the &#x3b1;-olefin unit.

A disposable diaper is provided comprising a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid impermeable backsheet, and a liquid retentive absorbent member interposed between the two sheets, wherein the disposable diaper has a product basis weight of 50 to 220 g/cm , and a portion of the disposable diaper where the absorbent member is positioned has a portion having a rate of body fluid absorption of 3.0 g/sec or more and a portion having a saturated body fluid absorption of 75 g/100 cm or more.

An absorbent article includes a liquid permeable topsheet, a liquid-impermeable and moisture-permeable leakproof sheet, and a liquid retentive absorbent member interposed between the topsheet and the leakproof sheet. A foamed material is disposed in the absorbent member. The foamed material has a density of 5 to 35 kg/m , a no-load thickness of 1 to 10 mm, and a compressive recovery of 60% or more in terms of (b/a&times;100), wherein a is a thickness (mm) measured after 24-hour standing with no load applied, and b is a thickness (mm) measured after 24-hour compression under a load of 180 gf/cm followed by 30-minute standing with no load applied. The foamed material is fixed at the prescribed position with an adhesive, which has been applied to have applied parts and unapplied parts.

Absorbent article

A composite sheet comprising a liquid impermeable sheet and a nonwoven fabric joined to each other by an adhesive composition, the liquid impermeable sheet having a thickness of 15 to 40 .mu.m; the nonwoven fabric having a fiber diameter of 1.5 to 3.5 deniers and a basis weight of 10 to 35 g/m.sup.2 ; and the adhesive composition comprising not less than 20% by weight of an amorphous poly-.alpha.-olefin (APAO) having a melt viscosity of 500 to 10,000 cps at 180.degree. C. and applied at an amount of 0.5 to 7 g/m.sup.2.
