A fluidized-bed drying and classifying apparatus is provided with a main body (,) in which a fluidized bed is formed to dry a granular material and to classify the same into fine particles and coarse particles. A perforated gas-distributing plate (,) is disposed in a lower part of a region in which a fluidized bed (,) is formed in the main body (,), a wind box having the shape of a hopper is disposed below the perforated gas-distributing plate. A dropped material discharge device (,) is connected to the lower end of the hopper-shaped wind box (,) to discharge the material dropped into the wind box (,). Fluidized-bed drying and classifying apparatus

A multi-chamber fluidized bed classifying apparatus comprising; a main chamber having a fluidized bed arranged on wind boxes, through a perforated gas distributing plate is divided into a drying chamber and a classifying chamber by a partition plate, and a communication passage is defined under the plate. The wind boxes have respective lower ends connected to discharge devices respectively. The wind box is connected to a processing fluidization gas supply system for supplying the fluidization gas into the box, while the wind box is connected to a classifying fluidization gas supply system for supplying the fluidization gas into the box. The classifying fluidization gas supply system is provided with a flow control unit which adjusts the quantity of gas supplied into the classifying chamber to control the size of classified particles. The processing fluidization gas supply system is provided with a control unit, which adjusts the gas quantity and/or the temperature of gas supplied into the drying chamber.

Multi-chamber fluidized bed-carrying classifier

An apparatus for manufacturing cement clinker is disclosed in which raw material powder of cement pre-heated and partially pre-calcined by a pre-heating unit such as a suspension pre-heater (or a provided pre-calciner') is charged into a granulating furnace as to be granulated, thus-obtained granulated material is charged into a sintering furnace as to be sintered, and the sintered material is cooled and recovered by a cooling unit, the apparatus having a granulating furnace so that the granulating performance of the granulating furnace is improved. A fuel supply unit for forming a local hot region is disposed immediately above a porous perforated distributor disposed in the throat portion between the granulating furnace and the sintering furnace so that the granulating furnace is formed into a jet fluidized bed structure, the lower portion of the granulating furnace has an inverse frustum of circular cone (a cone portion) so formed as to cause the granulated material to form a downward moving bed, and raw material powder of cement is blown through the side wall of the cone portion, and it is sufficiently dispersed in the moving bed before it reaches the local hot region.

Apparatus for manufacturing cement clinker

An apparatus for sintering a cement clinker in which preheated powdered raw materials are granulated and sintered in a single fluidized bed granulating and sintering furnace. The apparatus includes a first classifying station having a discharging grooved portion extending from the fluidized bed furnace to an opening in a radial direction and communicating with a gas distributor. The space above the discharging grooved portion diverges from the opening to a fluidized bed upstream of the gas distributor so that the total velocity of air blown through the opening and from nozzles in the discharging groove is constant. A second classifying station is in communication with the opening for blowing back small particles to the fluidized bed. In a third classifying station, a discharge chute is connected to a fluidized bed cooling unit for quenching granulated and sintered clinker while small particles are blown back to the granulating and sintering furnace.

Sintering method of cement clinkers and sintering apparatus of the same

A method of sintering cement clinker is provided including the steps of introducing raw material for cement to a spouted fluidized bed granulating furnace which includes a perforated distributor having a plurality of nozzle holes; passing fluidizing gas through at least one of the plurality of nozzle holes into the spouted fluidized bed granulating furnace while simultaneously blowing classifying gas at a selected flow velocity that is different from the flow velocity of the fluidizing gas into the spouted fluidized bed granulating furnace through a dropping port arranged facing and between the fluidized bed of the spouted fluidized bed granulating furnace and in communication with a fluidized bed sintering furnace; granulating the raw material in the spouted fluidized bed granulating furnace; discharging granules formed in the spouted fluidized bed granulating furnace into the fluidized bed sintering furnace while classifying the granules with the classifying gas; and sintering the granules injected into the fluidized bed sintering furnace through the dropping port.

Method and apparatus for sintering cement clinker

An apparatus for sintering cement clinker with a spouted fluidized bed granulating furnace and a fluidized bed sintering furnace is provided which includes a perforated distributor having a multiplicity of nozzle holes through which gas for granulating injected raw material for cement while spouting and fluidizing the same is introduced; a dropping port through which granulated raw material for cement is discharged and which is disposed to face a spouted fluidized bed, wherein classifying gas is introduced through the dropping port at a classifying flow velocity which is selected to be different from a flow velocity of gas to be introduced through the multiplicity of nozzle holes into the spouted fluidized bed granulating furnace, and means is provided therein to discharge the granulated raw material for cement while classifying the same by using the effect of the classifying gas which is introduced through the dropping port; and an injection chute for injecting the granulated raw material for cement from the dropping port to the fluidized bed sintering furnace.

A calcining system wherein raw material is preheated by raw material preheating device for preheating the raw material by contact with a gas, calcined in a rotary kiln and cooled in a planetary cooler; a portion of cooling gas used for cooling the calcined material in the planetary cooler and heated thereby is led through an air extracting duct to the raw material preheating device and the rest of the heated cooling gas is introduced into the rotary kiln: and exhaust gases from the rotary kiln is led to the raw material preheating device. Such calcining system further includes a first damper mounted in a duct for discharging the exhaust gas from the raw material preheating device, a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of calcined material discharged through an outlet of the planetary cooler, control device for controlling the degree of opening of the first damper when the temperature sensed by the temperature sensor rises to a high level, a second damper mounted in the air extracting duct, a gas sensor for sensing a gas component capable of indicating the condition of combustion in the rotary kiln, and control device for controlling the degree of opening of the second damper so as to bring the value of the gas component sensed by the gas sensor to a predetermined level. The flow rate of the cooling air can be controlled independently of the control of the flow rate of the air combustion, so that the temperature of the calcined material at the outlet of the planetary cooler can be kept at a predetermined level selected arbitrarily and the combustion in the rotary kiln and the calciner can be stabilized irrespective of changes in the conditions of operation.

Calcining system provided with a planetary cooler

A particulate material collecting apparatus including a cylindrical member defining therein a spiral flow chamber for forming a spiral flow of gas therein, an inlet duct and an outlet duct connected to the cylindrical member tangentially to the inner circumferential surface thereof, and a hollow inverted pyramidical member secured to the lower portion of the cylindrical member. A spiral flow guide plate having a convex surface curved radially outwardly of the cylindrical member is interposed between the cylindrical member and the inverted pyramidical member. The spiral flow guide plate is positioned so as to define two openings, one opening being located on the upstream side of the spiral flow of gas and the other opening being located on the downstream side of the spiral flow of gas. The spiral flow of gas is introduced from the spiral flow chamber through the upstream side opening into a material collecting space defined between an inner wall portion of the inverted pyramidical member and a collected material guide plate secured to the spiral flow guide plate to extend parallel to the inner wall portion, so that particulate material incorporated in the spiral flow of gas is separated by inertia from the gas and collected in the inverted pyramidical member.

Particulate material collecting apparatus

A heat exchanger including a separating chamber in the form of a prism having a substantially horizontal center axis and axially elongated. The separating chamber having a collecting chamber disposed beneath it has an inlet duct opening in the separating chamber and connected to one wall of the separating chamber, and an outlet duct opening in the separating chamber and connected to a wall of the separating chamber. The outlet duct may be connected to the wall to which the inlet duct is connected or to another wall parallel to the wall to which the inlet duct is connected. The inlet duct is positioned and oriented in such a manner that a stream of gas and particulate material is introduced therethrough into the separating chamber in a direction tangential to a spiral stream of gas and particulate material formed in the separating chamber, and the outlet duct is positioned and oriented in such a manner that a stream of gas is discharged therethrough from the separating chamber in a direction tangential to the spiral stream of gas and particulate material formed in the separating chamber. The collecting chamber is disposed away from the spiral stream of gas and particulate material formed in the separating chamber.

Suspension type heat exchanger

Rotary drum type heat treatment apparatus having a rotary drum rotatable about a longitudinal axis. The drum has an outlet end and the apparatus includes a cooling section having a movable grate with one end disposed beneath the outlet end of the rotary drum for receiving material from the drum. The drum is provided at the outlet end with a plurality of circumferentially spaced distribution members, each of which has at least one side surface extending longitudinally outwardly beyond the outlet end and inclined with respect to a radial line of the drum for engagement with material being discharged through the outlet end to deflect the same.

Material distributing means for rotary drum type heat treatment apparatus

A method of premelting the raw materials for glass, which comprises burning a fuel by atomizing it within a combustion chamber while blowing combustion air into said combustion chamber so as to swirl along the inner wall thereof, feeding the raw materials for glass to said combustion chamber to effect partial premelting thereof, letting the thus premelted raw materials together with the combustion gas flow out from the lower part of the combustion chamber by way of a downwardly inclined duct, separating the premelted raw materials from the combustion gas, leading the premelted raw materials thus separated into a melting furnace, and utilizing the exhaust gas generated in the combustion chamber and/or the melting furnace effectively.

Premelting method for raw materials for glass and apparatus relevant

A powdery substance in suspension state is heated with the high-temperature combustion waste gas exhausted from a glass tank furnace, and the air for combustion is heated with the thus heated powder substance. When the powdery substance employed is a raw material for preparing glass, the raw materials for preparing glass and the air for combustion to be supplied to the glass tank furnace are both heated therewith thereby contributing to effective recovery of the heat of the combustion waste gas.

Method of recovering heat of combustion waste gas arising from glass

A method of melting the raw materials for preparing glass, which method comprises feeding powdery or granular raw materials for preparing glass successively into flames jetting out of burners along the sloped furnace bed of a melting furnace, letting said raw materials fall onto the furnace bed at a location away from the position of the inlet for raw materials while heating them with said flames as well as the combustion gas, melting the raw materials for glass that land on the furnace bed by heating with said flames, and pouring the thus melted raw materials into a glass tank furnace from the side of the melting furnace where the burners are provided.
